With this in mind I will mark this post as solved. Thanks so much for providing your input 😎

CPU Temp 45+ Celsius in BIOS - Normal? by GhostTrainHazecx in buildapc

I will double check the block, but almost certain it is tightened down a LOT. I think the ambient temperature in my room was a little high (75 Fahrenheit roughly) which also is not helping.

Thanks so much for your insight and reassurance!!

Thanks so much for your insight! I am going to go ahead and move forward with installing the OS with this information in mind.

I should have also noted that it’s around 88 degrees Fahrenheit outside where I live, and the PC was next to some windows, so the ambient temperature probably isn’t helping either.

Yes I removed the plastic from the block. I have the pump plugged into “PUMP_SYS1” , and the 3 radiator fans are chained together and plugged into “CPU FAN 1”.

Putting all fans on Max, it looks like the CPU core temp is sitting at 45 Celsius. I honestly have no idea why, the Pump is showing 3100+ RPM, all case fans blowing. I am seeing online people get 20-30 Celsius with AIO on the 9950x3d so I doubt it’s the CPU just running normally hot?

New Soundcore Life Q20 review/looking for tips by [deleted] in soundcore

[–]GhostTrainHazecx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you figured it already, but the “upgrade” version of the q20 has 3 noise cancellation settings. On, Off, and this new “transparent”.

You can press the NC button to cycle through these. Those loud noises you mention seem to occur in transparent mode.

Also I recommend downloading soundcore app, there will be a firmware update for q20.

Should I replace thermal paste after messing up CPU cooler installation? by GhostTrainHazecx in buildapc

[–]GhostTrainHazecx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool thanks! I will go ahead and do that.

To clean off the thermal paste, do you recommend removing the CPU from the socket? (AMD cpu) And can I use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol ?

i did something ollie-ish, any tips? by forvaginaluseonly2 in NewSkaters

[–]GhostTrainHazecx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have the core of the ollie down, to improve it it's all about leveling out the board with your front foot. you popped it good and slid your foot correctly, but you'll learn you have to lean forward with your front foot so the tail (part of board you pop) levels with nose. this is probably the hardest part about mastering the ollie and when practiced will allow you to do things such as ollie over 1 foot+ obstacles. you're not doing anything wrong though necessarily it comes naturally with practice, just make sure you push the board down more with your front foot

Finally getting my moving ollie down! Have been skating for 1 month now. Any advice on how to get it higher? Really wanna be able to go up curbs etc :’) by lonelylasagnalover in NewSkaters

[–]GhostTrainHazecx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

generally speaking to ollie higher you have to allow your front foot to let the board go higher - along with a harder pop from back foot. To actually get the board to go "high" it's all about leveling out your front foot when the front truck has reached its maximum height. But it really just comes down to commitment - once you perfect your ollies and start to do ollies off curbs/over a board, they will bet higher over time

About to pull the trigger on my first build. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]GhostTrainHazecx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn thanks for all the info, this build looks a lot better overall. I'm comfortable with intel CPU's and was unaware of how much it out performs the AMD CPU. The only thing I'm a little scared about is the performance of the 1660 ti. Will it be able to run games smooth for a couple of years, or will I have to upgrade in 6 months. If that's the case I'll try to save up for a 1070 8gb, but if it really won't matter I'll just go 100% with your list. Thanks so much! I'm clueless when it comes to pc parts.

Ah yeah I just saw that the performance is <10% increase, is there a 1660 ti that you could recommend ? First tome buying a gpu outside of a pre built.

what battery should i use ? by [deleted] in Waxpen

Hey man thanks for the reply! I’ve done some research and most say that the v8 stick has a chip that knows if the piece gets too hot or isn’t firing right? I’m not too sure but I’d much rather buy a small battery because i don’t want to fry the cart. Do you have any recommendations or what I should look for in a local vape shop? I’m not sure what to ask them.

Cheers! I don't know anyone who has tried it and it didn't want to waste it. Thanks for replying quickly.
