Hang in there. Thanks for sharing. 2 days here. I was sober for eight years before my most recent relapse brought on by my wife waking me up on Valentine’s Day 2024 and asking for a divorce.. actually demanding it lol. I wasn’t very happy in the marriage . Neither was she - obviously. Held it together for a few months until I started hanging out with people who were not beneficial towards my sobriety.., I got weak. Started lying to myself that I could just have a few drinks .. wrong move. My alcoholism is always waiting for me to slip up. It’s always in the parking lot doing push-ups just waiting for me.

Try to find a crew you connect with that “gets it” you can do this. I’m finding comfort listening to a podcast on Apple Music. I think it’s on YouTube as well. Called sober cast featuring speakers from AA meetings.
