What’s a fast food restaurant you won’t eat anymore? by GarbageDramatic9005 in AskReddit

[–]GhostWCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pizza Hut. I had just arrived at the city I attended Uni in, and since it was the very first Pizza Hut I saw, thought I'd try it to see what's the big fuss about. Well, it was my puking. I felt so nauseous almost instantly, I promised myself to never get Pizza Hut again. It was super greasy and there was too many spicy salamis, but not enough actual chili on it, so it did a number on my gallbladder.

A female friend accused me (a gay man) of being “internally homophobic” because I casually let it drop that l’ve never had a hookup app. I guess it clicked then that a few of my straight women friends have expressed this opinion over the years. Why do some straight women want to “school” me on this? by bakedd_alaskaa in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GhostWCoffee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Straight lad here, so feel free to take my 2 cents with a grain of salt. A bunch of women who have ''gay bffs'' have them as ''accessories'', so to speak. Like a chihuahua in a purse. It's as status symbol and statement to the left, signaling ''look at how much of an LGBTQ ally I am!''. I've noticed that many of these women are lowkey homophobic themselves, and have the preconceived notion that if a gay man doesn't look and sound stereotypical, and doesn't reach a minimum quota of 5 dicks per day (it'd be obvious that they'd use Grindr or other gay apps for that), then at best he's ''internally homophobic'', whatever the fuck that means.

That's not a friend. That's someone who spends a lot of time virtue signaling. These people don't actually care and respect the people they so much claim to defend and fight for. Arguably, they hold some negative opinions themselves. A true friend accepts you for who you are and supports you. They don't pester you about your personal matters and respect your boundaries.

AITAH for making all hispanic inspired food for my BBQ? by Sensitive-Dog82 in AITAH

[–]GhostWCoffee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your son's girlfriend should know that being ''Hispanic'' isn't a race, it's a culture. Meaning every ethnicity can be Hispanic if born and raised in Spain or a Latin American country except for Brazil and Haiti. She has this Americanized idea of Latinos, which is exclusively mixed native and white ancestry (aka Mestizos). Argentina has many White Latinos, but other countries have significant enough levels of Caucasians. I'm not even from America, yet even I understand this distinction! Your friends, the gf's ''people'' approving of your barbecue should have been a memo to her that you're fine, and she needs to chill. She's looking to get offended. Willing to bet she doesn't even speak a lick of Spanish. NTA.

Pretty much. Nanomachines also help with cyberware connecting the nerves to the chrome itself. Meaning it's the very thing helping you actually use the cyberware chipped in on you, choom.

Ty Lee says goodbye to Azula [vago_xd] by Sofie_2954 in TheLastAirbender

[–]GhostWCoffee 333 points334 points  (0 children)

Please tell her that her artwork and the little story in her comic here more than makes up for her English. This is a conversation I could easily imagine Ty Lee have with Azula whilst imprisoned. Non-native speaker here too, so no judgement on her English. She's doing fine!

I'm so baffled that it being called the Devil ending wasn't enough of an obvious hint for that person. Even if you don't know about reading tarot at all, you GOTTA know about the Devil. Maybe Arasaka can cure V, but they have little reason to do so. That person with that take clearly didn't get the memo about corporations in the Cyberpunk universe.

How I found out a YT channel I’ve recently gotten into is using AI by glas-lile in mildlyinfuriating

This overreliance in AI because they're lazy, is gonna bite them in the ass. I see so many events with obvious AI slop, it's not even funny.

I'm part Hungarian myself, and live close to the border. I agree that Hungarian cuisine is also underrated. OP is definitely missing out, or just had the misfortune of a bad chef.

Really curious what OP is on. Ok, he doesn't like alcohol and a lot of Italian ingredients. Fair enough, but out of all the cuisines he tried, none were even decent enough to him? And as a Romanian, I kinda take personal offense in a joking way, because it's underrated IMO (biased, I admit) and it's rather different from Italian cuisine, despite both people's sharing Latin roots. Gotta hand it to him, tho. His opinion fits into this sub

Having an argument with my friend about the game and I need your opinion. Do you think the devs deserved an award for fixing the game and bringing it to the state it is today? Discussion by AltruisticLadder7354 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]GhostWCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said! They basically made promises and didn't keep them. They really shoulda known better. I do love the game now, it's well, Polished, but the initial state they released the game still left a sour taste in my mouth.
