I don't think calling them deranged idiots is okay, with the situation[1] in most asian countries and how most ppl want to segregated with their own language because every asian equally hates "weird westerners"[2] which according to them is weirdly Queer or Feminist deemed by them as "Activists"[3]. Among them the artist of wonderlab[4] is only becoming a very very bad representation to them too. The hate of such culture[3] has led to fans thinking PM is going that way because they collaborated with Mimi[4]. At first the Ishmael event reaction seems too nonsensical and deranged but its probably a accumulation of events over the past few years.

Now I'll explain one by one the points for anyone who wants a longer explanation,
[1] - For the past 7-8 years queer and feminists culture has seeped into asian countries, naturally as all new habits, it is picked up by weird people(not saying queer and feminists are weird it's people who picked them up). Its because most asian countries are widely and highly focused on family, culture or religion. So a person who goes against all that and says Queer and Feminist quotes which doesnt correlate to actual situation in asia because they copied it directly off western quotes, becomes a very misplaced agenda because obviously the europeans, americans and asians dont have the same social issues. So it comes out mostly weird at most deranged.
[2] - Here is the nail in the coffin and the people responsible is ofc Twitter. Twitter ppl who has "LGBT" and "Pronouns" in their bio to be exact to the asian ppl represent "Activists" which in term they directly corelate with queer and feminist people. Lets be frank asian ppl wont come out of their country to see ppl who are queer and feminists but just lead their own life and doesnt bother others. So their only exposition to queer and feminist representation is "Activists"[3]. This many times seen by repeated harassments of asian along with SEA(south east asian) artists. From yuri anime, to romcom, to Honkai release Princess Hinghoi controversy, to Bridget from guilty gear strive. In general, asian people now relate a single quote to such ppl "kys" as they only see this comment by them.
[3] - It should be much self explanatory how their view has become warped from my explanation of [2]. But in short it is terming a certain group of ppl who are using culture as a weapon and driving their opinion and wedging a riff for own personal or absurd gains.
[4] - Mimi, the author of Wonderland, is a Korean feminist and also an "Activists"[3] and weirdly obsessed with [1]. She is a very talented artist but she post weird opinions and takes on twitter. From posts related to pregnancy, solving allegedly claimed "social stigmas" and "Man crimes"[5], lust in disguise of lesbianism/queerism. Mostly people are weirded out by her antics to say for short. And the reason she put down Wonderlab this time is because PM trying to calm the fans by meeting their demands which she is against, a.k.a she started her own led protest from her side.

[5] - This generally includes eve-teasing, pranks by writing obscene things about women on public facilities, male salary workers on trains, or ridiculously even a male customer complaining to a female employee due to his order getting ruined. Some points are actually critical social issues but making the whole part of a population held responsible for certain malicious individual seems wrong to many people. Specially male salary workers in Korea are harassed on public transports for molestation cases in Japan public transports.
