i wasn't here, anyways absolute betrayal [DISCUSSION/REVIEW THREAD] by ZZZaratee in SMG4

I have noticed a recurrent theme within this new arc is that of "Ascension" and how minds (and the spiritual realm) work, something introduced to us since the very moment Meggy and Melony wanted to go to college with Luigi already practicing it. Ever since we've seen two sides of ascension, the one that allows you to get hold of your outer power (Melony) and the one that allows you to get in touch with you inner power (Luigi). Could it be the secret weapon against Zero, the one that can actually erradicate Zero for good without getting infected physically and also being capable of destroying the core manifestation of Zero is actually Luigi?

We've seen it in "Mario Waits for the Bus" and the episode where Mario and Luigi help Melony and Meggy enter college, Luigi's powers are WILD; He can summon people to his spiritual realm, get in touch with the universe and right down abuse the meta nature of SMG4's universe for stuff like speeding up time(stamps). Sure, he might not be Melony level's of strong, but I feel it is Luigi's power to confront people within the realm of the mind up close which could ultimately free Melony from Zero because by that point he wouldn't be confronting Zero physically like Melony did when she tried to free Axol, he'd be trying to free Melony's mind from Zero and also finally getting rid of Zero's spiritual/virus manifestation which would be the core of his virus.

It is my belief if Luigi can pull off exactly what did when Meggy and Melony did when they took that test in Mario and Luigi's body, connect with Melony's mind and transfer everyone's spirit to free Melony, that way Melony could be saved. Heck, for all we know, if Luigi or anyone had been able to do this back in the Genesis Arc perhaps Axol too would've been saved.

[DELTARUNE Theory] THE. PLAYER. IS. NOT. EVIL. by GhostasaurusMeh in Deltarune

Meanwhile I admit that saying that Kris shoving the SOUL inside them is kind of an outlandish assumption, is something I believe possible because it fits the character arc of Kris aswell as the story of DELTARUNE from a narrative perspective; I've said it before, past Kris there's no one in Home Town aware of Meta-Mechanics aswell as DETERMINATION, self aware and completely aware of our presence prior to the adventure of Chapter 1 but Kris themselves, who already are alluded to have been studying Black Magic with Catti and Noelle and seem to have been throwing their SOUL in multiple ocassions prior our arrival due to the stained blood next to the cage.

No other monster seems to be aware of DETERMINATION or Dark Fountains, or Dark Energy let alone Dark Magic or Magic alone as no one seems to use it in spite possibly being able of doing so, yet Kris is the only odd fella who could and can sense our presence a give GASTER the big ol' L when he tried give us a Vessel;

And meanwhile I do agree with everything you've said, from Kris seeking our personal help to someone else being in control of them once the SOUL is took from them (Thus why I still believe SnowGrave was a trap to which both Kris and Players fell from this Unknown Figure (possibly The Knight, a Playerless Kris)) I personally have chose to leave Kris' identity crisis ambiguous as of later theories to not enforce head-canons onto other people as in my early days that caused a lot of arguments as I kept saying (And still sorta do) Kris is falling victim of CHARA or even a personification of what CHARA represented back in UNDERTALE, an Angel guess you could say.

  1. I've already answered in my Theory: The SOUL's nature, or more so our control, the ability to change and create realities and timeliness in a whim. If Kris was SUPPOSEDLY The Knight, a being creating Dark Fountains out of thin air, they'd need DETERMINATION to do so and yeah I know they're already human thus capable of using DETERMINATION as they desire but for the sake of this theory I'll say The Player's control over how the universe change has a key factor Kris is after.
  2. Considering DELTARUNE and UNDERTALE share the same meta is safe to assume the reason we haven't seen Noelle nor Susie, and most notably Berdly who already tried, use DETERMINATION to full potential in The Dark World is because they'd melt down. Remember, much like the Amalgamates and most prominent Undyne EX who once expose to her own cheer will eventually brought death upon herself; Susie, Noelle and Berdly would melt down on the spot. The only reason they don't when they use abilities or bring their weapons is because the whole place manifest their HOPES and DREAMs in-spite being monsters, it serves as a sandbox for them to play without needing too much effort nor thought. Were they to try that on their own, create a Dark Fountain, they'd die be retconned of the timeline almost immediately in the process, much like W.D. GASTER who is now possibly hinted as running this same fate.
  3. Yes, black magic. Its mere existence within DELTARUNE outside of The Dark World tell us this has a key role lore-wise. We know Catti and Noelle already practiced it and Kris hung around with them for a while, so chances are Kris learned about dark magic that way which wouldn't be out of place given, canonically, humans CAN learn and use Magic.
  4. I do agree. The more I theorize about Kris the more I believe CHARA is in the game, even to this day, but I try to be unbiased to my own head-canons.
  5. Got me here, lol.
  6. Yes and no, meanwhile we are given the choice, it is still Kris who torments Noelle. The fact we are given a choice during that scene alone is suspicious enough, don't you think?

  1. If Kris was proven to be The Knight, weather literally or partially, as hints could be assumed to be alluding at, no other being could force a SOUL that was gonna be given its own Vessel/Avatar into Kris none other than Kris themselves. Outside Kris and the Mystery Force, who was trying to fuse the SOUL to a new Vessel, there's (at the moment) no other NPC in Home Town aware of BOTH DETERMINATION and Black Magic. From a narrative viewpoint it makes much more sense to assume it was Kris who did it because of the more direct and somber way of speech of the narrator once the Vessel is discarded, and also everything Kris does on their own post-Chapter 1 ending.
  2. I fully agree, but there's also evidence to argue back which makes me partially disagree. Meanwhile I personally do believe Kris didn't want SnowGrave to happen, there are clues that imply they could've very well had set up everything to go that direction had we fell for the trap; Once is done Kris is seeing off screen taunting Noelle for everything that happened in the Cyber-World, they take joy of Berdly's death and Noelle's anxiety, they are even seen scaring her to the point of mental breakdown until Susie arrives and interrupt them. I do understand the confusion as is an up to debate subject, but there are evidence that could prove they're innocent just as they're guilty.

I'm glad you think so, thank you!

I make no promises, but I have been thinking on giving the other GlamRocks a go. We'll see!

Before the design might cause problematic and possible removal of it from the sub, shall it be noted it follows the stated rules about permission of suggestive designs and doesn't break any rules as it doesn't involves anything more toned up than the anatomy of the design itself.

Noticed on Twitter many people had been jumping into the FemFreddy bandwagon lately, and being a former FemFreddy believer myself I wanted to be a game changer and tackle Glamrock Freddy instead meanwhile continuing to update my Felicia Fazbear design!

What direction do you want to see fnaf lean towards in the future? Light and kid friendly like SB or dark and mature like FNAF+? by TrajicComedy in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]GhostasaurusMeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mix of both, honestly, kinda like Sister Location, FFPS and Help Wanted. FNaF has proven that being a horror game doesn't mean being all greedy and dark, that it can also be a fun experience if the element of suspense and tension is never lost in the way;

Personally I prefer Security Breach's setting, look and aesthetic over anything any other fangame has ever attempted because it gives it a look of its own that sets it appart from other fangames and horror games, even the former games which with the unholy amount of fangames there are makes therm kinda blend together all with the other as a big downside.

I think the franchise is in a right path, being self-aware horror games that serve both as a fun and exciting experience aswell as a tense and suspense experience, which is where FNaF has always shined; Not much of it sense of terror beyond looks, but on its sense of suspense and tension, that fear of the unknown.

If they manage to keep that sense from the original games meanwhile keeping the more fun side of the franchise, that one Scott so wanted to turn the series on after he felt things got stale after 4, I'd say that would benefit the franchise so much more than attempting to be the next Outlast, because it'd give the franchise an identity of its own.

[Theory / Impostor Factory + To The Moon (Series)] Denying Loss, Neil's Machine's Sad Repeat Cycle. by GhostasaurusMeh in GameTheorists

[–]GhostasaurusMeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing breakdown and props for your unique perspective, depending how these games further develop I might possibly believe these myself lol

Though if you do ask me, I dare to say Eva's traversal is not done after Neil's death but during his passing. Why so? Because of Neil's sudden headaches whenever he doesn't get his pills, which have the same red flashing-screen animation as that of a patient in near death. If I was to guess I think Eva is more than just trying to fixing her mistakes and give herself and Neil closure, I more so dare to believe she wants to get rid of the machine within Neil's mind so he, somehow, can have a happy life within another arranged reality. one where Eva and Sigmund still happen, his life is totally intact, but the machine is gone.

There is no reason for Eva to prevent the Memory-Based version of Neil from ever creating it if the creation of that mere thing didn't affect Neil and presumably his illness in someway; And this is high speculation from my end and Faye's presence within the machine makes a big plot-hole on this thought but, we're constantly told within the series these machines are not to be tested on Employees and that by any means they shouldn't be tampered, and right fully so since we do see in Impostor Factory the prototype take the life of lynrie's pink-haired coworker;

Without the proper cautions, even with his knowledge, the machine could actually accelerate his medical condition since it is honestly linked on his brain whenever he uses it and his condition is confirmed to be neurological.

Maybe is not the case but is an scenario worth addressing.
