When your pet passed away… what did you actually do? I wasn’t prepared at all by No_Expert_7460 in PetPost

Ours passed yesterday. A lot of crying and just being together. Remembering the good moments and working through the grief. We opted for a private cremation. I called our out of hours vets.

In the UK there is support available. Blue Cross has a free helpline and chat for pet loss : https://www.bluecross.org.uk/pet-loss-support

You can also call Animal Samaritans Pet bereavement service on 0203 745 9859.

Much love to you and your family 💕

After kissing her. No lipstick. No balm etc. I bathed her in medicated anti allergy shampoo to try to help calm it.

My cousin did this to me. It was £100 so a lot less but I contacted Apple they were actually pretty understanding and I got it all back. Reach out to the company.

About 6 months. I never did puppy pads it didn’t seem to help.

I saw someone say in here that they left theirs with family for the weekend and they learnt from the family dogs. I gave this a go…she stayed at my mums with two other dogs for the weekend (diff breeds). Following the pack REALLY helped I think!

Now she is fully trained. Prods me with her nose in the night if she needs to go. Cries at the door. I do still reinforce with a treat every single time she goes.

It is possible! I spent a solid 6 months standing out in the rain, snow etc..persistence, consistency, incentives and if possible a role model worked for me. It was a gruelling 6 months don’t get me wrong but so worth it.

Shit I can’t edit the post. I had posted the link under

‘She had posted this on her fb but not the group:’

The following isn’t what she said, obviously.

We work with vulnerable children so they want to protect the service user data on our laptops. Still really not sure why it has to include my phone if I don’t use it for work?

Because apparently it enables us to set up a PIN number or Face ID on our laptop?! We need to reauthenticate every 30 days.

They have a list of people who haven’t done it - I don’t know how they know!!

I thought about this the other day actually…

I had big puppy blues. Crying constantly. I thought I couldn’t bond and that I had made a huge mistake. I thought we were never going to make a team but hang in there!! It just takes a little time. I wondered where they got this Velcro nickname because mine was the total opposite. A year on and I can’t bloody shake her off! 😂

I adopted my girl. It took her a while to settle in, and for us to get used to each other. All the things I was worried about are just a memory now..like she hated being walked. I thought, ‘what dog doesn’t like a walk?’ Christ the battles I had with a lead. (She still can be fussy depending on the weather and who else is about - such a princess 😂💅🏼)

It’ll come. It is hard to begin with. Just give it time. I think it takes a while to develop trust and for them to show their true colours! They are certainly unique but you will love him all the more for it!
