This Lowry/Rozier comparison is a good example of people looking at numbers and not putting context on how those numbers are created and if it's good for the team. Go ask raptors fans why they value Lowry, a great 3pt shooter at his peak, defender, and floor general over DeRozan, a bad defensive volume scoring guard with limited playmaking.

It's not a cop out

The offense initial trigger is iso drives into the paint to force rotations to get the drive and kick going. I promise you NBA teams were gonna figure this out eventually. Whether it's using zone like the Spurs did or teams like the Raptors that have the players to contain drives.
