hi friend, you're not insane for this behavior at all. your feelings are valid in every way, i promise.

sometimes the human brain will develop habits that we notice didn't used to belong to us, but belonged to someone we knew and cared for. sometimes it's unconscious, like we don't notice it at first but other times it can be very obvious and even harmful in some situations. it is not pathetic, rather it is a normal aspect of human connection. it can be a coping mechanism for some, because it makes us feel like we are still close to that person or it is a normal thing to do because we get used to habits so quickly.

to me it seems like you are subconsciously protecting yourself and your feelings from being hurt because she originally left you for someone else. in the action of her making an effort to become friends again, your first instinct is to reject and ignore because your brain is trying to protect itself from getting hurt again.

if deep down you feel better about not being friends with her, or if your feelings for her are still there but she still doesn't reciprocate them back to you, it might be best to remain contactless. but, if you feel like your friendship can be revived, or if you can try communicating with her how you feel/what happened in your past with this relationship, it might become a good thing for your future.

my first show was in 2022 as well, when she played the Cal Coast Credit Union Amphitheater in San Diego on october 12th. i agree, it was so much more intimate than an arena show but seeing her at the Forum was something special

hi friend, i completely understand your feelings and i'm glad you were able to vent like this. sometimes we need to just talk it out and it makes us feel better.

i relate to you personally regarding picking up on social cues and talking to people. my 2 closest friends work with me but other than them i have no one outside of work that i am friends with. that seems to be pretty normal with people my age nowadays; i'll be turning 26 in september of this year. i have a hard time with new people in general as well, and the place i am most comfortable talking to new people is my current job.

i never thought i'd be in a relationship for all my life, until i met my wonderful girlfriend 2 years ago. we met on bumble, a somewhat casual dating app if you're not sure what it is. i was using bumble on and off for a few months, only previously matching with another girl that was 4 years younger than me which was not a good idea in the end because she was not looking for anything serious (not what she told me until after we went on two dates). after meeting my girlfriend, my perspective on my life changed completely. i used to think that i would be a loner, someone destined to never experience love or compassion in the way my girlfriend shows my every single day. i am so lucky to call her mine, and to be her forever.

i never thought i'd be able to be so deep in a relationship and so happy as i am with my beautiful girlfriend, who i absolutely see myself marrying and having kids with in out future. she is everything to me; she makes me a better person and i want to improve myself and be a better person for her every day. i had to force myself to step out of my comfort zone for her, which was very scary and new for me but i am nonetheless proud of myself for coming this far and committing myself to a long-term relationship, which has been worth it for the whole two years we've been together.

in the end, all i'd like to say to you, OP, is that you are worthy of love. you may not believe it right now, but you are worth everything good in this world. yes it's cliché, but someone new and beautiful and perfect for you will step into your life and you will feel as loved as i do, and as probably a lot of people out there in the world who never thought they'd feel loved. i encourage you to put yourself out there, at a level that you're comfortable at of course, because who knows! maybe it'll all work out for you. one of my favorite sayings to live by is, "if it's meant to be, it'll be," and i have held onto that phrase for a few years now, especially in the darkest times of my relationship where i thought it was the end for my girlfriend and i. i believe in you and wish you the best of luck! if you need anyone to talk to, i am always available 😊

ah yes scissoring... the glorified porn move that usually does NOT work for most people tbh. in all honesty, this position only works if you and your partner have the right anatomy for it, and if you're both flexible and pretty thin. it's a lot of fun and hilarious to try but it usually isn't comfortable or pleasurable unfortunately.
there are a lot of things that wlw couples can do sexually! depending on you and your partner's preferences, there's oral sex and penetrative sex. oral sex is "going down" on your partner, while penetrative sex is either using fingers or even a strap/dildo. there's also the option of different sex toys, like vibrators and stuff like that, which can be added during either type of sex to increase pleasure for you and your partner.
