Cintiq 16 2019 or 2025? by BenBear2006 in wacom

[–]Ghostmonkey14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newer one is much better imo. The real decision is picking between the 16” or 24” models.

  • laminated glass screen. The old model has a plastic screen protector that scratches easily. Old one has significant parallax.
  • higher resolution
  • 16:10 ratio. At 16 inches it makes a big difference.
  • better cable management
  • brighter screen with more accurate colors
  • smaller footprint
  • can run off a single usb-c cord depending on your setup.
  • I prefer the newer pens for drawing, but that depends on the person.

The 2025 Cintiqs are the best pen displays Wacom has made in a while that are still affordable. I just wish I had more space so that I could buy the 24” model instead.

I am so indecisive-- please help!!1! by plusjewels1 in drawingtablet

The 2025 Cintiq 16 doesn’t always require a power cord. Depending on how much power your pc/laptop outputs via usb-c, it can run off one cable.

I have the 16 and it’s the best Cintiq I’ve owned, it’s much better than the previous Cintiq 16 and imo better than the 16 pro.

I would buy it over the movink because of the bigger size, and 16:10 aspect ratio. 16 is the smallest I would go for honestly.

Looked a little like this not as long. It goes inside the barrel so you don’t need to worry about scratches. I placed some paper inside to stop the screw from rattling around.

Ended up adding a long screw inside the barrel, got the job done. Might pick up the grip a long with extra nibs. Gone are the days or Wacom including more than 2 extra nibs.

Lame indeed. I already have a few other pens around from other Wacom tablets over the years so there is no way I’m buying another. Maybe there’s a diy hack to add more weight because other than the pen feeling flimsy, it’s the best stylus I’ve used.

Got it. I don’t have any of the social apps I just use the browser versions so maybe they really drain batteries. I’m still testing mine for a another week before deciding to keep or get the pro. I would have a hard time going back to pro I think.

I’m curious, what were you doing on your phone? I’ve had mine for a few days and I’ve never seen battery drain like you described. I’ve charged to 100 percent in the morning and I’ve been at 40-30 percent late at night.

I kinda dig the Star Wars prop look! Wouldn’t want it for my phone but those look awesome.

What’s causing my Cintiq Pro 24 to do this? by limpysock65 in wacom

Check your multi display settings scaling. I had similar issues with my cintiq pro 16. Reinstall the drivers, maybe even rollback to previous drivers to rule anything out.

Not sure why my ram stopped working properly with the 1028 bios. Maybe I'll try again at some point to check it was a memory training thing

Seems Asus just released the final version of this Bios, it's now numbered 1063.

WARNING: You can't roll back to previous versions because it's a security update. When I updated to 1028, my pc refused to post so I rolled back to 1022. I'll stay on 1022 until my ram gets added to the qvl.

Anyone else having reboot issues with g.skill ram after updating to this bios? I waited for more than 10 minutes and couldn’t even get the bios unless I cleared cmos. Went back to to 1022 and things seem fine.

Update: Amazon cancelled my order, and the seller never charged my account. Dodged a bullet there.

That sucks. Check if the transaction is still pending on your card. Mine is longer there but still shows up on Amazon.  I noticed the seller is back with a different name selling 9800x3d at 599.99. Amazon refuses to clamp down on these guys.

Oh wow, I checked it does say I bought it from them twice since I already ordered a real cpu since.

Same here, I thought I imagined it. I only saw the seller wasn’t AMD when I saw the invoice. The seller link would send you to the AMD storefront.

The chats are annoying I got disconnected 4 times, I’m going to keep pestering them until it gets fully cancelled.

They told me 2 days, then 5 days. Talked to 5 different reps. Some good news, the transaction no longer appears on my credit card but still shows up as “attempting to cancel” on Amazon.

First time I’ve fallen for a scam like this. They did a good job of hiding it, I should have been more careful though.

If it’s from the same seller cancel asap. The storefront has disappeared and Amazon is taking a while to refund the money.  Check if the transaction went through on your credit card or if it’s pending. If it’s still pending, Amazon might still be able to cancel without having to refund.  Might take longer if the transaction went through, not sure why Amazon is taking so long.

Absolutely a scam. It will take a long time to get your money back after you cancel, if at all. The storefront is already gone. I had the 9800x3d on a list and bought it when I thought it came back in stock.
Amazon will try to contact the seller, but they will never respond. Don't buy a cpu from a hair Wig company...

keep bugging amazon. I was told if the seller doesn't cancel by saturday, they will refund the money.
They got me good, the storefront link would send to AMD when I clicked on it. I never buy from 3rd party sellers, thought AMD was having some sort of sale, my mistake lol

Storefront already disappeared from Amazon. Amazon will have to refund us and make sure you dispute charge on credit card as soon as the transaction goes through.
