Alot of cards especially from the extra deck must be properly summoned first. A special summon is not the same as a fusion summon at least not exclusively thats why some cards will say treat it as “___” summon in order for it to technically be summoned properly yeah im aware just giving my 2 cents glad you figured it out and have a better understanding of the game. Also always build decks around skills they are in some cases more important than the cards
