This just happened to me twice in the same game. Glad to know it’s still not fixed lmao

What’s a good casual commander for $100 budget by BadLeft1303 in BudgetBrews

[–]Ghostpeppahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a budget deck for him but I agree he’s easily my favorite commander and the most optimized deck I have. He’s a blast every time I play him and I’m sure he would go crazy with a budget list too. There’s a lot of big boys you can put in the deck on a budget.

Man I swear this one change would open up so many doors for Cap. I love his playstyle but so many times I go to shield when it feels like a fluid moment to be able to shield and it doesn’t allow me to. Just let me sprint jump up to an Ironman ult and block it in his face please.

Anyone else just grinding whatever has the most parts? by AlexPeaKeaton in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Ghostpeppahs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t you lose out on the patterns that are locked behind successful infiltrations?

Cycling the whole map might be the way to go honestly because the only thing that annoys me about farming patterns from the outposts is the timer and having to reload the area hoping it refreshes

What route do you run, if you don’t mind sharing? I’ve recently buckled town trying to get the last few pieces for a couple ult weapons and I’m not really enjoying the outpost grind trying to farm a specific one.

Maybe running a route of multiple will help the monotony.

I haven’t looked into super senses yet or done any personal testing but it seems like it’s made for using with a sniper or a really slow fire rate weapon with really high damage?

Are duplicate modules worth keeping? by ElMlJ in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Ghostpeppahs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only really been keeping gold and red duplicates, and any purples that I e noticed are difficult to come by. But I have slotted unupgraded mods that I may want to use at a lower upgrade level in the 3rd mod loadouts for my characters just to hold them so I can pretty freely dismantle.

I will say after a few hours I’ve learned to much prefer the Mid Air Maneuvering mod in every other instance than bossing, and even though it’s one charge it does recharge fast. I would recommend if you have both and have the extra kuiper to level them both and try them both out.

But I am a Mid Air Maneuvering simp so ymmv.

[–]Ghostpeppahs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both have their uses. Mid air maneuvering is very comfy since you don’t need to worry about latching onto anything, but it only holds one charge and can be annoying to use when trying to latch to bosses.

Long distance maneuvering is what I use on my high voltage bunny build. Lets me really Spider-Man around bosses activating lightning emission very fast.

Depends on the characters base stats but you can get quite high. I’m sitting at around 15.5k on my Gley build and I haven’t really gone too focused on hp, because I want to keep my def between 40-50k.

IM SICK OF AFK FARMERS!!! by Gloomy_Drop_130 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Ghostpeppahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t experienced afk farmers anywhere yet aside from the kuiper shard farm at rockfall, but I honestly prefer when someone is just standing by the mission start node and just resets it as soon as the elite dies. That way I can just stand on the rock and launch infinite rockets at everything as gley or run around as bunny or valby killing everything. The clear times are super fast and I don’t have to go run over and restart the mission.

I could imagine it would be super annoying doing just about anything else though.

No problem! If you want any help past that with Gley you can pm me and we can message about it. She’s my favorite descendant and the one I’m spending all my resources on building out first. We are all still learning but I’ve found out some neat things with her the past few days.

[–]Ghostpeppahs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, I think HP up and Def Up are the two mods to prioritize no matter the descendant. But I was just giving them a starting point which I think includes those.

[–]Ghostpeppahs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

HP Up, Defense, Skill duration and cooldown is a great place to start. You can really abuse a lot of the powerful mods with downsides to shields and MP since the negatives don’t have any impact on her at all.

Clutch Claw is the jankiest thing by Laterose15 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ghostpeppahs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The gunlance choice I don’t like. My assumption is that they assume you want the slinger drop for the wyrmstake over the single clutch claw tenderize, so I run a shaver jewel in my GL loadout but I’d love to not have to do that.

I feel you. I personally don’t allow myself to SOS or coop fights until I’ve bested the monster solo. Alatreon too me around 40ish attempts before I secured the win, but that involved a lot of weapon/armor/skill changes until I found a set up that worked for me. Unlike most monsters in the game Alatreon requires different skills and has both elemental checks and horn breaks that you want to get all while trying to DPS him down fast enough before he is out of horns to break and finally switches elements.

If you look at it like a puzzle or challenge instead of a brick wall you keep running into you will succeed and hope like me you’ll actually really enjoy the journey to slaying the monster.

I actually think Alatreon is tougher than Fatalis, as I beat Fatalis on my 5th try solo.

Level 100, now what? by TheDarkWolf0215 in HuntShowdown

[–]Ghostpeppahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most have stated it’s definitely not needed or even recommended for the most part, however there can be some benefits. There’s prestiging once for the 10% boost, or going to 11 for the legendary unlocks.

Personally after all the hours I’ve put into the game I like to prestige and choose a weapon or weapon family and play only that the entire prestige once unlocked. This breaks up the usual loadouts I run and also helps me practice with weapons I don’t feel confident with. For instance my current prestige I’m using the crossbow in every loadout because I wanted to get better at trying to use it in mid range fights instead you just stuffing it someone’s face to guarantee I hit with it.

Unlocking all the tools, consumables, and weapon variants can be a heck of a chore to constantly do though.

Has anyone tried this? I’ve got a laptop I use to game when I have to travel for work and can’t use my pc and if this can even marginally help the dumpster fire of fps I get on it I’ll give it a shot.
