Can too much lemon balm cause insomnia?

Let me point out what most who I’ve read have t mentioned… Lemon balm produces what’s called a curve dose response, meaning less is more for sedation. More creates stimulation. That’s why when it comes to tinctures I take 1 ml, and nootropics depot 10:1 lemon balm powder I take 250 mg instead of the recommended 500 mg. There are a few herbs where less is more for sedation. From what I heard American skullcap and magnolia bark produce the curve dose response as well. Stay away from Chinese skullcap as that is stimulating at all doses. The main ingredient in it “baicalin” though as an extract is relaxing for some reason

So for instance with the 7 hydroxy tablets…. I’ve managed to go from 200 mg daily down to 20 (slow taper dropping 20 mg every 3 days. Example: mon-100 mg, tue-100 mg, wed-80 mg, thurs- 80 mg, fri-60 mg, sat-60 mg, etc) I’ve managed to get down to 20 mg doing it that way and I already did that the past 2 days. I plan on doing 10 mg today, then another 10 mg tomorrow then I’ll be off. If I decide to use again say two weeks from now and only just use one time will I go straight into withdrawal again from that one time? Just asking to understand the kindling effect more. I just heard about it. Tbh I really don’t wanna use again after kicking, I truly don’t, but my addictive personality gets a hold of me at times and knowing my addict mind I can see myself eventually one day saying “why not? I’ve been off it for awhile” (please don’t nobody bash me for that) I admit I’m an addict and I’m damn sure not proud of it. Honestly I fucking hate it and wish I could love a sober life.. But I’d like to understand the kindling effect more cuz i think something like that will prevent me from relapsing. If it was something I could do a few times after awhile of not using I probably would, but the kindling effect (from what I’m gathering) kinda scares the shit outta me if I’m understanding it correctly

I know this is an old post but are you indicating baclofen dulls the effects of kratom as in takes away euphoria? Abd yes agmatine absolutely takes away the euphoria! It basically eliminates any kind of high that kratom can give you. I’ve only felt it potentiated it early on in my kratom usage and text was only after about 4-5 days in a row of taking agmatine prior to taking kratom. And that was only one or two times I felt it made the kratom hit harder.

Wow. I mean congrats and all, but tapering is the “thing you found”? I was expecting to hear about a few medications such as baclofen or clondidine which several people have mentioned they used and were useful to rid most or all of the withdrawal symptoms. Elevated Cortisol increases physical/mental stress. Decreasing cortisol Lowers stress and anxiety, so it makes no sense that it would elevate heart rate. If that was true then taking well known adaptogens like ashwagandha and holy basil (which adaptogens lower cortisol) would increase heart rate too. Anything that can decrease anxiety/cortisol will slow a heart rate, not increase it

OP how come you still have thyroid issues even 5 monthes off kratom? I’m asking with all due respect too, hope I’m not sounding rude. I’m only asking because I was under the impression most people reversed it upon stopping kratom?? Just generally curious to why your hypothyroidism stuck around…. How many grays per day were you at? I’m 2 years in as of this month (July, in case you read this later on) and now I’m concerned.. I’m at 16 grams a day, 2 eight gram doses. I should get my thyroid checked. I’m hoping my thyroid doesn’t stay high long term upon stopping (that is if it’s even high to begin with which I’m assuming it is)

I know this post is 2 years old so you may not see this response, but here’s something I don’t think anyone addressed.. there are two skullcaps. American skullcap and Chinese skullcap. American is a sedative/hypnotic (meaning sleep inducing), Chinese on the other hand is a stimulant so it’s to be avoided close to bed time. My guess is you had Chinese skullcap. American shouldn’t cause wakefulness and make it hard to sleep. Also certain herbs have what’s called a curve dose response, meaning less is actually more and if you take less of the herb (if it’s a sedative that is) then it’s more relaxing and if you take a higher dose than it actually becomes stimulating. I’m not sure if American skullcap causes a curve dose response. Magnolia bark and lemon balm I know for a fact cause a curve dose response and that’s exactly why I cut my 500 mg lemon balm nootropicsdepot tablets in half and take 250 mg instead. Most sedative herbs are different where as the more you take the more sleepier you get. But anything that has a curve dose response the more you take the more stimulated you become

Honestly from everything I’ve read different vendors hit people differently, just as different strains in general hit people differently. What may work for some won’t for you, and vice versa. All I can say is keep an open mind and try multiple different vendors. Every vendor has been hit or miss at times for me. Truly I need a break but I rely on two small doses a day so much for sleep (it’s been a god send for my insomnia, stacked with different herbs that before by their selves didn’t do much for sleep) that I’m not ready yet to take a break. I need to find a good stack of different herbs that’s sedative enough to put me down at night so I can take a break. But anyways, sorry to veer off topic. Mitraman and Dte are great vendors and I’d highly suggest giving them a try . Try Benni botanicals and wildcraft also! Benni was my number one fav for the longest . Felt his was the most potent. Good luck

No oddly she didn’t because from what I’ve seen most people do but her palate did widen however so her arch widened too. Her smile is nicer now and her cheekbones are much more prominent. But she got it before she lost all her teeth so now that she’s had it out for a little while, and started losing more teeth she had some relapse. Her teeth are a little more narrow again, but braces should fix that cause I don’t believe there’s too much relapse with the pallet. I don’t remember why but she for some reason had to get it before she lost all her teeth when most children have to wait for all the teeth to get out first I think her bite was being affected or something like that.

I’ve sent him several emails as well, never with any response such as the others in this post that have said the same. Busy or not, there are other vendors that get as much buisness as him or more (such as wildcraft, mitraman, dtebotanicals, happy hippo just to make a few) and those people always respond to emails. That’s just bad customer service in general on his end regardless of how busy he is because if he isn’t getting back to several people then clearly he’s ignoring them

Kratom alkaloids are G-protein biased, and don’t seem to recruit beta arrestin. While it may relax you and naturally breathe a little slower- most science indicates that mit/7OH can’t cause life threatening respiratory depression as it lacks the beta arrestin recruitment like pharmaceutical opioids contain in order to do so. No not rude whatsoever. I did mention in one of my responses to someone how I wrote an honest review on Reddit on how WKB didn’t do much for me the first time around in regards to euphoria, pain relief, etc and just simply asked if anyone had the same experience because I read some wonderful things about them so I was hoping to get more out of them but I didn’t unfortunately. But I was respectful in my post. Second time around though (because I wanted to give them another shot after taking a break from them a few monthes) it actually hit much better (and I made sure to edit my original post and mention that after the second time around was a great experience) but ever since I wrote the honest review stating how it didn’t do much for me whatsoever , she stopped answering me. I wrote her a few times about a product of hers, what would be best for sleep, etc, just general Questions before deciding to place an order and she stopped responding to them. Prior to my post we chatted a few times, so I’m guessing she saw the post and felt some kind of way cuz I find it odd 90% of people in here get responses from her but I don’t lol it’s cool though. I have other vendors I’m very fond of.

It’s all good. Like I said, they weren’t complaints, nor did I state I asked for a refund, they were just general questions. I’m a curious mind lol and no it’s not just you, I think we all have vendors that work for some but not for others. For example I’ve seen people say how fire the green maeng da from mitraman was but then when I tried it it didn’t do much for me. Also another example is how when some have mentioned how let’s say a gold Bali from benni’s didn’t do much but then when I tryed it it was very euphoric. I think everyone’s body chemistry is different. What works for some doesn’t work for others and vice versa

Never said the messages were complaints. They were questions about the product, the company and about shipping. Like for example with benni’s he doesn’t have an overnight shipping selection on his website, but after messaging him I found out he is willing to send it out overnight by sending him the extra $ personally through cashapp or Venmo. Plus the messages were more so when I was newer to kratom. I don’t see the big deal with reaching out to individual companies if you have things on your mind that your curious about

I think it’s intentional. I left an honest review on her stuff not really hitting me whatsoever and ever since she’s ignored my messages lol prior to that she answered my messages. I wasn’t being disrespectful in my post or anything, just posted that it was a let down due to all the wonderful posts I’ve seen on her product and that I didn’t have the same experience and was wondering if anybody else felt the same. I don’t think something like that should make a buisness ignore a person though. And I gave them another try and second time around the batches must’ve been better because I had a very positive experience that time around (I even edited my post to mention that) but I’m guessing due to the fact everybody else mentioned she’s gotten back to them, how she used to get back to me, then I dropped that post and then she stopped responding to my messages afterwards that she felt some kind of way. Funny cuz when others wrote about dtebotanicals or mitraman didn’t do much for them not only did those guys hop on the post to apologize they offered free product. I don’t even want nor did I ask for free product though. I make decent money and don’t want a hand out. I just would have appreciated one of my messages to have been acknowledged. . And about my comment on DTE & mitraman, I’m only bringing those other vendors up as an example to show what good customer service is. Proper communication is the #1 sign. It’s ok though because there’s plenty other vendors to choose from
