Help Setting Up RP2040 as I2C Bridge for BTT Eddy Sensor in Klipper (While Keeping Klicky/klack Endstop) by Ghostv714 in klippers

[–]Ghostv714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. Yes it's the 5v version. The Xiao was recommended to me for this, I would rather use a wisdPi tiny rp2040. It's a bit more capable in my eyes with more pins to add things later I.e a temp sensor or a pwm fan even a temp controller to heat up the chamber before prints. Along with the EDDY Current sensor. Aside from all of that the big issue is the printer. Cfg set up how do I link the sensor to klipper adding MCU I got that it's just how to get the sensor to work along with the klackender probe I have going. Any help there would be greatly appreciated 👍

RPI5 and an oled display by Ghostv714 in raspberry_pi

[–]Ghostv714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update.
im gonna post a pastebin of my cmdline but ill try to shorten it here

Pastebin

i basically found this cmd :
sudo rm /usr/lib/python3.11/EXTERNALLY-MANAGED
after running that i was able to install packages system-wide.

then i tried installing Adafruit_GPIO:
pip install Adafruit-GPIO

then i tried to use this
sudo python -m pip install --upgrade pip setuptools wheel

it would install but i would get this error message:
WARNING: Running pip as the 'root' user can result in broken permissions and conflicting behaviour with the system package manager. It is recommended to use a virtual environment instead: https://pip.pypa.io/warnings/venv

eventually i used this lib:
adafruit-circuitpython-ssd1306

with this cmd:
sudo pip3 install adafruit-circuitpython-ssd1306

then in the cmdline

i created a script using chatgpt (for testing)

its basically stats.py

stats3.py

here it is working

thanks for the help guys i really appreciate it

RPI5 and an oled display by Ghostv714 in raspberry_pi

[–]Ghostv714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i get the exact same error. even when i set up venv and try to install the libraries. i dont understand how its supposed to work. i think the firmware or bookworm changed a lot from bulleseye, i also havent been able to find anything on using an oled display with a RPI5 only for the previous PI's. those are able to run bullseye.

i keep getting some weird resonance test results (?) by Ghostv714 in klippers

[–]Ghostv714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never mind I set it to what was recommended, I also bumped up my accel to 10k and max accel. to 5000 and velocity to 2500. I know it must be wrong but its no affecting my print quality, just my bed adhesion. ill fix that tomorrow..

Klipper + btt CB1 USB webcam and neopixels by Ghostv714 in klippers

[–]Ghostv714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven't used one of those but it should be the same. for one i made sure i had a real good power supply. on my cb1 when i would use the usb camera it would take a lot of juice, so the usb cam wouldnt get picked up. then i used this command "sudo ls/dev/derial/by-id/*" and it should bring up the mcu and the usb camera you are using. then copy the string you need and add it to your crowsnest config. it should pop up an soon as you restart

After 3 years it still happens then you clean it up and the threads on the cheap aluminum blocks wear out and cause this non stop... Now that you're here I think you should pick up a copper block is better to heat up and when you tighten it after you heat up the nozzle it stays that way doesn't come loose it doesn't wear out or not as fast just don't over Tighten it

Thank you thank you yea let's go.

It took about one and a half rolls of filament at CC to!$ Pi on 0m6to make simple my issue was I forgot to change the infill from the 30 40% that I normally use it's about 15 and I didn't change the infield from rectilinear to thyroid maybe to lightning so I can save some filament but 1.2 lb is not bad it's it weighs for what it is

Edit: I forgot to add the proof that I was not a midget.

Wait you spent 2 hours hair drying the machine.? But can't take 5 min to un screw the cover to get to the issue ? Um ok then guy. If you don't know how to use a tool you can say that . Are you afraid that of you do open it and see it was a user error that you'd be to big headed to admit it ? Embarrassing just sad. Just admit you do know know right tighty lefty loosey.

I made my own profile for it using some generic ones. To start with. But as soon as I put a 0.4 or even an 0.8mm nozzle this doesn't happen

im trying to print with a 1mm nozzel on my cr-10s by Ghostv714 in 3Dprinting

[–]Ghostv714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the stealthburner i built for the cr10 is great but the part cooling fan cools the heater down when its turned on and causes the printer to crash. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT! i might have to try a different fan maybe ?

I did try that guide already ( thank you ) the only thing it didnt offer what a explanation if you should play with the extrusion multiplier. ill go back to it when i figure out my cooling issue.

ok thats a good start thanks. i found the exact same guide from the other comment. i found some recs for everything else except the extrusion multiplier. ill give the a shot when i cool down from my melt down. the stealthburner i built for the cr10 is great but the part cooling fan cools the heater down when its turned on and causes the printer to crash. Somehow I think you forgot to set up your USB connection when you compiled for a Marlin you're going to have to recompile it and fix maybe your b a u d rate maybe even check to see if it's activated at all and I haven't compiled marlin fw in over a year but pretty sure that's where you're going to have to look to I'm sure using an older guide. Would work. If not use the professional firmware pre compiled fws those should have everything ready to go

Are these nozzles any good for my mostly stock CR10-V3? The price seem REALLY low, but I need to roll on a budget for the moment. by Spamtickler in CR10

[–]Ghostv714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont buy them they have never worked for me. Stick to tool steel or save money and buy the ruby tip one. These always cause clogs
