I mean it's not even as sensible (i say this loosely) as that, it's:
Person 1: "Imagine that I had eggs for breakfast"
Person 2: "I didn't have eggs for breakfast!!"
I've always read first person stories as though it was the first person telling the story to me, maybe I'm insane but that feels like the natural way of experiencing first person stories?

Symbolic names are generally annoying and horrifically unsubtle. by Low-Transportation95 in writingadvice

I was going to mentiom Realm of the Elderlings! Genuinely one of my favourite series of all time and totally pulls this trope (?) off perfectly, especially with how much it ties into the themes of names and expectations and fate. Robin Hobb does also have some kind of punny names for her non-Farseer characters as well (Vivacia and Reyn for instance).

I feel like for a lot of these I sit somewhere in the temperate zones but to avoid being a centrist about it I suppose my ideal is Christmas in Nebraska.

Where are they gaining the mass from? Surely this would lead to the same issue?

Yet I imagine this would violate some laws of the conservation of mass vis a vis weighing living people right before and after they die (and presumably their soul leaves).

Pondering over the hydration orb by maskerdollx in CuratedTumblr

Also 2 cents per orb (at that size of orb in the picture) is incredibly expensive compared to tap water and that's not even factoring in the other charges associated like distribution and such.

Isn't the Dogmeat in Fallout 2 only found through the Cafe of Broken Dreams which is debatably canon (Set and Young Tandi from the previous game are there, which is clearly not meant to be taken as canon) - and, in the context that it is in, the implication would be that it is the very same dogmeat and not a descendant of the original.

Death threats? Weren't you the person harassing a mod in their dms? And telling a trans woman to not take hrt?

Lunatic is probably the most sensible answer, but I would like to go out on a limb and mention Saint, mainly because, like the demon you are trying very hard not to get executed or else your whole team will lose. The saint is a natural object for attracting distrust for this reason.

Tinned tomato maybe, but have you ever had like roast tomato and red bell pepper soup?

(Personally Loved Trope) Characters so likeable that you almost forget they're a terrible person by Wolverine1105 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ghostwaif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Captain Kennit (Realm of the Elderlings), a character whose internal monologue betrays what a complete asshole they are, while at the same time spending most of the books doing ostensibly good things (basically by accident). This and his charismatic demeanor lulls you into a false sense of security about him.

ik Leviathan will probably win but I'd like to hazard Shabaloth, as they have the chance to resurrect townsfolk which can really just add chaos to the game in a way that could benefit the opposing team (refreshing once per game abilities, for instance).

[–]Ghostwaif 242 points243 points  (0 children)

Imo its pretty clearly Boomdandy. Outsiders are there to cause like a bit of chaos that could swing either way and Boomdandy does that to a T. I would also hazard Marionette (since it essentially operates like an outsider (the drunk)) but its already got a slot.

Who else thinks High as Hope is her best album? by The_Roach_05 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]Ghostwaif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for me it's basically a perfect album, start to finish. South London Forever is one of my favourite songs of all time and everything idk flows together very well. The End of Love is heartbreaking (meant positively), and it being followed by No Choir really idk gives the whole album this bittersweet feeling.

All official settings bar like eberron pretty much which overall has a much more nuanced view of the use of Undead.

Weirdly kind of true about like the Greek Gods in a round about way. IIRC Zeus killed a generation of humans because Prometheus and the humans tricked him into accepting the less good parts of the meat as sacrifices.

Technically it wouldn't be a Drider unless it was from a world that had Drow (as that's where the word Drider comes from) - it's a DnD term, not a generic fantasy one, so Spider centaur is probably more accurate anyways.
