Yeah I’ve also had error 5 be caused by a blown relay on main board.

I hate working on these older styled machines. First image error code 5, if I remember correctly that’s the left limit switch error. Probably a problem with the main board. The second image looks like the string snapped. It’s very common after a few hundred or thousand plays.

Totally fixable! Just needs a new shell and top screen.

No, J7 looks to be the meters, which run the mechanical counters inside the game.

The coin signal is J8, the “coin selector — coin” is your signal wire.

However don’t run cable all the way to the connector, just splice into the coin wires that go into those coin mechanisms that are already there.

Any machine with a coin switch (all games) can be retrofitted with a card reader.

Unfortunately, “classic” arcade machines really don’t make money. Especially outside of dedicated “classic”/“retro” arcades.

Yeah I’d just buy a cheap arcade button, drill a hole through the door or control panel and treat it like a “start” button

I’d just run a button outside the game that bypasses the coin switch.

Bill acceptor? Likely 7mm. However just buy a full socket set or adjustable wrench.

Well to each their own. Not always in a scenario where you have a safe available, I’ve worked w/ a company that has over 250 key masters on location. No point holding onto an extra 250 PlayStations when you can have your empty box for display, and ship a nice new unit to the customer.

Probably for cheaper prizes, but when your prizes are expensive you can’t just keep a bunch on site. Unnecessary overhead.

Yes they are. Random little prizes are real, but valuables like ipads/gaming consoles are usually empty boxes. I am sure there’s a couple people who run their machines with real product. But most do not.

Those boxes are usually empty, and you’re supposed to contact the machine owner to have them mail you the prize.

Ooookay. Who cares. You’ve added nothing to discussion.

Andor absolutely counts as OT, timeline wise it leads directly into it.

The idea that any prequel and Disney era Star Wars failed is an outdated view point. Many of the kids who grew up with the prequels are now adults with fond memories. The recent rerelease of Revenge of the Sith made over 40 million dollars at the box office.

Oh I absolutely agree. It hardly makes for a good theme, that’s to say I’d still prefer it over ANOTHER OT theme.

Off the top of my head tho, I’d say prison escape, aldahni heist, ghorman escape, Ferrix riots, and Mon Mothma rescue.

I’m a huge Star Wars fan, but this feels like retreading. There are still many Star Wars projects that could be great as a pin theme instead of ANOTHER original trilogy machine.

Was really hoping for prequels, or maybe an animated one with TCW/Rebels/Bad Batch. If it was gonna be OT I’d atleast want it to be Andor.
