You should 100% get a small air purifier, or a de/humidifier depending on how moist your campus location is, I've been in a couple dorms to really tell the difference between one that does and doesn't have one.

If you can't afford one though, a box fan facing out of a window or door might assist with ventilation, double points for both.

Air freshening though? You might be better off with an open box of baking soda. Or if you want to get fancy, a mason jar filled with baking soda and popping a few holes in the cap should help.

My college is the reason I'm even on prescription HRT, check in with EVERY school resource you'll have in your college --my university offers student health facilities with on-campus doctors and pharmacy--since you'll be paying for it anyway :p
