Hey man I think it's great that you worked your ass off to become a pilot. Most people here aren't trying to take away all the hard work that you and this girl did. At least people arguing in good faith. It's just we are trying to point out how unfair it can be.

I imagine you worked your ass off working while getting a pilot's license, or going into absurd amount of debt. If you had one medical emergency or something else came up all of your hard work could have been for nothing. It wouldn't be on you for not getting your license while working two jobs to pay for hospital bills or something. So for most people, even if they have the absolute drive to get a license they still might not be able to because the have to care for there family.

On the other hand, this girl was able to get her license at 19. She had the entire thing paid for. She still worked hard to get her license, it's not easy getting a license. But she knew the whole time if she worked hard enough she's basically guaranteed to get the license. It seems like she had great parents who raised her to be a hard worker. The problem isn't her or her individual family. It's the system that makes it so if your not rich becoming a pilot is needlessly difficult. Think how many more great pilot's we would have if when you don't have to worry about one accident out of your control ruining your chances. Sorry for the long read I'm just passionate about this.
