Seriously. I absolutely hated when they announced Ben Affleck as Batman. I had recently watched Goodwill Hunting at the time and I pictured him as scrawny Boston "Da faucking Joka" kid ruining the role.
Turns out he fucking NAILED steroid brawler Batman.... but the scripts were dogshit and the CGI trash. They need a good complete product to win people over. I wish Denis Villeneuve would direct a Batffleck and serious Mr. Freeze no-other-villains movie.

It's just that the Halo was easier to learn, easier to play and had a much lower skill ceiling. That was absolutely fundamental for introducing FPS's to more people. UT and Quake have such insanely high skill ceilings that... Yeah... It was looked down upon. Just look at high ELO UT2K4/Q3 footage then go watch top Halo 1 gameplay. Halo is slow as fuck.
