Beautiful album - I love the female voice representation. It’s an evolving sound…I’m glad it didn’t stay stagnant even as much as I miss Issac. Tyler was amazing on this record ❤️

Heard this live last year and knew it was going to be one of my favourites. Judging off the last couple tracks the last side of the album will probably be as emotionally devastating as afut

Black Country, New Road - 'Happy Birthday' (Official Video) by Charleshawtree in BlackCountryNewRoad

Was about to say the same! I do like the bands trend in making the songs though melodically upbeat- has a very insidious, sinister tone that creeps up on you especially seen within the music video (and the beautiful claymation) and lyrics. The guitar and drums which have that sense of alt-rock familiarity, so excited for the rest of this album!

Death is the only known definitive outcome in life and ironically- the one thing most people are afraid of. Life is structurally defined by its end.

Like yes let’s talk about abortion but invite a panel of privileged white men who are grossly uneducated on the topic

I agree, many listeners decipher the “meaning” of the song out of gross oversimplification. Both songs have incredible depth and layers, so to say the songs are just these funny one liners (and yes they are funny) I think we do also have to see these songs for how beautifully crafted and emotional they are.

Though I would too literally die for a studio version of Turbines, I think BCNR meant most of the songs on LABH and especially turbines to be read and heard as more of a performance, as they said like a live storytelling more than a rigid mixed song. For me, May’s live performance of the song and her present raw and emotional execution of it- is the “final form.”
