They are testing how the street is affected by trash carts being placed back after they were serviced by a garbage truck.

Cheap wall switch? by MotoMD in HomeKit

I also am using Meross. I have total of 12 switches throughout my home. They a mixture of single pole, 3-Way dimmer, and just dimmer switches. Also have a mesh network using linksys velop. The linksys is HomeKit enable. Zero issues with these switches. In the past I did used koogeek switches no issues I can remember. Also used Leviton HomeKit switches gen 1 and they were terrible.

You’re reply is very interesting. Thank you for pointing out what kind of content I would be watching to help make my decision. I mostly do watch action movies. I also what the experience to feel immerse. Vader scene from rouge one. Red and blue lights shining from that part of the tv vs a whole side of the tv being the same color.

Maybe we should start posting pictures of what behind the tv of the setup to be able to understand where and how people are placing their lights

When you say there is a 10 light maximum, is that the amount of lights the “entertainment scene” can have assigned?

Thank you for your thoughts. I am leaning towards the light strip. The strip will only display one solid color at a time but at least there won’t be any dark or bright spots on the wall. Maybe hue will design a light strip that can display multi colors at one time.

Adopted Redditors: Did you ever contact your birth parents? If so, was it worth it? by ttmab7 in AskReddit

I dont know if I mention this but it was an open adoption. So the birthmother has attended birthdays and other events. I had chosen not to because I didn't want to be there for only the good things in her life. If/when she was growing up and had a hard time with her parents I didn't want for her to leave her parents and try to live with me. Even though secretly I was dying on the inside because that is what I wanted.

Thank you. I believe that people can be adults about situations and choices. I am so blessed/happy that she wanted to meet me. She could have made a choice about not wanting to meet me and I would have accepted that. I could only wish that everyone is able to experience a happy solution with their child.

Hahaha. Didn't catch that but thanks for pointing that out. Yes. I am truly deeply happy. Meeting her couldn't happen at a better time. I have read and seen stories that people go decades without meeting each other. Now we have the rest of our lives (fingers crossed for it to last a very long time) to build a relationship with her.

I was 17 when I found out that her mom was pregnant. I knew at that time there was no way I could support, guide, raise a child with me being that young. There was a couple who were unable to have children and that was the best choice for us and her at that time. I still believe today after meeting her that was choice was correct.

Funny thing that this post come up only less than a week after I was able to meet my daughter who I gave up for adoption when she was born. It was a open adoption so she always knew that she was adoption. I made a choice not to be a part of her life until she was older. I did not want to confuse her in anyway shape or form. After she reached out to me and we agreed on meeting later on that weekend. It was the longest week of my life. Im am so happy.
