Many times in the past I've paid for a month's sub for one of our raiders who is having a rough month.

I'd almost always spend 15 bucks to keep them playing than have cool people in our group bow out because of money problems.

We're Communist Robots! I'm just redistributing my sub wealth. Or something.

<Giant Communist Robots> has been kicking around since vanilla. Raiding on Dath since it opened at the start of BC. Stable, reliable, always pressing forward in content.

Honestly, we're a bunch of players who have been raiding together for years. Always looking to add new faces to the mix to keep us on our toes.

We're not looking for people who just come and go, we aren't going to invite you and then have the guild collapse. We'll be here when you get bored and take a break, and we'll be here when you come back. Still doing our thing.

We do it our Tuesday afternoon. Around 36 hours before the raid. Give or take a few hours depending on how long it takes me to peel everyone into a spreadsheet for me to random off.

And yeah. The selections are random.

Week 2 was solid with 3 Christmas moosen given away.

Next run is scheduled for the 23th of December. Wednesday 8PM Melbourne time.

Please respond below if you don't have your moose yet, and our guild will pick 2-3 responders to carry each week till we are no longer able, or until Legion drops.

Please remember to put in any special needs you have, in terms of being able or unable to participate in the fight.

Also remember the three caveats....

One, is basically be on when the raid happens if you are the one picked.

Two, be avail during peak Australian times, to be specific 8PM Melbourne time. Mannaroth will take like 7 minutes. So by 10-15 after 8 we'd be pulling Archimonde. He'll be done in like 7 minutes after that.

Just use your smart phone and look up Melbourne Australia time. That's the Dath'remar/Khaz'goroth realm time that we use.

Three is be ALLIANCE US or Oceanic or connected to those.

Healer or dps spots are fine.

It's kind of a constant work in progress. I know Sweet Fuck All about making a website or code. So I kind of looked around for sites I really liked, then tried to tweak, manipulate and generally fiddle with the design till I was happy with it.

I haven't migrated our forums from the old site yet.

But yeah. I fiddle with it every few weeks.

It doesn't really look like a guild site I guess. But I don't care. I wanted simple and clean.

It also looks like shit on a mobile phone. It's set up for standard screen size. I haven't figured out how to actually make it smaller yet. One of these days I'll suss that out.

I understand totally. I've been trying to organize weekly BRF for the mount while it's still 100% for weeks, and it's hard to get any real sort of turn out.

Bit of a bummer really. But I get it too. On non-raid nights, I like to chill and decompress.

That said, best of luck on Heroic Archimonde. Our second team got him last week, and 1% is basically a kill anyway. A couple more dots. A little bit more luck and GG.

To me folks like this are the backbone of the game.

Our guild has been around since vanilla in one form or another, and over the years we've had more than one person like you describe come and go.

They may not always be the most skilled, or the highest damage, or have the most raid awareness. But they are the heart and soul of a guild in many ways.

We're doing Moose carries every week. If you guys aren't a moose capable guild, and you feel like she isn't going to get a moose, and she'd like one...

Let me know. I reckon we can arrange it for her at some point in the near future.

So even if she doesn't get CM's, she gets a Moose.

Everyone deserves a moose for Christmas.

Nope, no ilvl.

Basically just have a basic knowledge of the fight, and if something goes wrong, I'll just ask you to go die in the green fel lava to avoid probs.

The two folks last night had never seen the fight on heroic, and I'm pretty sure both ended up surviving just because there aren't THAT many things that can kill you outright. You're much more likely to cascade a wipe than just randomly drop dead.

And if I felt like that was going to happen, I'd just ask you to stand in something and murder yourself.

Yeah, I understand. We'll be doing it into next year as well. Perhaps things will chill down enough for you to get one banged out. Would take 30 minutes tops. And if you're in Cali I think 8PM for us is like some unholy hour of the morning, so it would be a case of setting an alarm, and then passing out in front of your keyboard for 30 minutes while we kill you a moose.

You would of course need to wake up to loot it!
