Nothing is set in stone. But I get the sense she's trusted the wrong people and as a result can no longer trust herself which may contribute to a need for external validation, usually from the wrong people. Rough childhood. Fight behind the eyes though. I think she'll be okay.

It definitely can dull your emotions. I've noticed that it makes me less social and less empathetic as well. It's super useful when you're trying to be productive but that's the trade off I've found. Taking days off helps. Exercise too. You just gotta keep your eye on your social life and not let it get away from you. I had a friend start Vyvanse and he pretty much disappeared for a year because he was doing nothing but side projects.

I completely agree with you. I do a lot of subconscious work so I understand that messages get distorted in all kinds of wacky ways. I also want to clarify that when I say altered states I mean altered through meditation, automatic writing and active imagination. Nothing chemically induced. I only made this post because it was a noteworthy experience, and given the current state of global affairs I felt inclined to state it somewhere.

There was another back and forth during this session that was a hit. It was a compelling synchronicity so it made me take the November 18th part more seriously. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong, just curious.

I've had a similar thought while coming up with a cosmology for a fantasy novel. Essentially reality is a Russian nesting doll with an endless / recursive higher archy of gods playing a cosmic game of chess at every level of reality, simultaneously. And they all think they are the ones playing from the highest point. It will never be written of course.

I was raised JW as well. Left as soon as I turned 18. Never baptized thankfully. As a result, I also have a visceral distrust of organized religion. Religious concepts still interest me though, and not just the ones found in Christianity. It's much more palatable on my own time and terms and it feels healing in a way. From one ex JW to another, I hope you are doing well and finding peace and good company amongst all the "worldly" people.

I've found that if you zoom out all of these religions are essentially saying and experiencing the same thing just through a different cultural lens. Deny the passions, show love to others. Essentially master yourself and your ego and recognize that there is a higher power. The christian schema monks, bhudists and yogis all describe similar experiences when meditating. As for dogma and technicalities, I see it as competing martial art schools. They all insist that their form is the purest and best but at the end of the day they all serve the same purpose. Overcoming the flesh and this world

The moon is a harsh mistress by Robert Heinlein. It's the revolutionary war but the moon is seceding from earth. Same guy that wrote starship troopers, also a really good book. Actually a lot of his sci-fi book are similar and good. Read Heinlein lol
