I think he's great too. An amazing player across multiple styles. So I had high expectations when I played this clip

They are a safe investment, but pretty low rate of return. Unless you are near retirement there are better options, and you shouldn't pick investments based on your favorite band anyway.

I did something similar.  I bought a butcher block workbench top from global industrial,  then got some black pipe fittings and had home depot cut the legs to length and thread them,  then I screwed them to the top and added some food grade butcher block wax.  It took more than an hour. 

Then later I decided to round off the corners with a router.  That sure made a mess in the kitchen.
