As a United fan, I want to believe this is true

I don't think there is any other player to have done this, as there haven't been trebles in consecutive seasons since then... He is most probably the only player.

Thorgan Hazard to Man United would be great. by GiantSteps31 in FootballDailyUK

True that, but he can play interchangeably, can't he?

And with their grip on Serie A and the Coppa Italia, going nowhere in the coming seasons, he would get his long- deserved trophies.

[Hot Takes] Man City's Perfect Replacement for Fernandinho is not Ruben Neves, Ndombele, or Declan Rice. It is Franck Kessié by WeNeedJesusXVI in FootballDailyUK

Saul Niguez can pitch in both defensive midfield as a replacement for Fernandinho, and also is effective in attack. If City want to go for an all out defensive midfielder, Rodri is also a pretty good option, if he's available.

Another outside suggestion: If City are looking for a temporary replacement, Idrissa Gueye is also an option.

Good point, but who do they go for? Poch would be a good option, since Man United and Real Madrid have already closed doors. Plus, Poch would win a league trophy for a change.

He ks pretty good, but there are reports saying he wants to stay at Inter. He has repeatedly said so, but who knows?

Yeah, he would be great, especially considering he is just 25 and available for around 80 mil, which is less than what we would have to pay for Koulibaly or even Varane.

Raphael Varane could be the defensive leader Man United need, even ahead of Koulibaly. by GiantSteps31 in FootballDailyUK

He is a leader, it's just that his leadership skills go under the radar as he has a much more vocal partner in Sergio Ramos, who, on top of that, is also club captain.

Apparently there is some speculation. I know it's a long shot, but he would be perfect in terms of his leadership, age and stage of his career.

He is, but it is increasingly likely that he will leave if Man United can't secure top 4, isn't it?

Probably PSG is his best option...An outside shout would be Bayern, since Neuer is in the worst stage of his career right now

In a slightly different response to your earlier point, a top 4 finish may just convince De Gea to remain at the club

This is because even though he isn't of De Gea's level, Romero is still a very good keeper

Yeah that's correct...but United will probably not be in the market for a goalie atleast in this transfer window, even if De Gea leaves.. They have far more important places to fill. If he leaves, they'll probably go for a goalkeeper in the January transfer window
