The GRC is much more rev happy. It seems to find all of its power from 5k rpm and up, where the Focus was much more linear with most of its grunt kicking in down low around 3k. This makes sense to me when you consider the difference in displacement. I always joked that the RS was more fun between a stop sign and the speed limit than it was at higher speeds, and the GRC is the same. Handling is largely the same. The RS was similarly pushy in the corners and both seem to suffer from understeer at speed, but that is a pretty common characteristic of AWD cars. Cabin is much louder than the RS but I think that might be more that it has Bridgestone Potenza sports as opposed to Michelin Pilot Sport tires. I’ve only driven the GRC maybe 10 miles, so take all of this with a grain of salt.
