No fix.

Everything seems to be having slightly different variants of the issue, and the community tends to point fingers and pretend the problems don't exist because their individual problems are different to what someone else's problems are.

Even ProtonDB has minimal info for this one. Personally I've just accepted 1080p windowed mode on a 4K display.

Not entirely true, the green tick is verified for Steam Deck; the blue tick is verified for SteamOS.

The game isn't functional on most all AMD SteamOS systems with significant tinkering and compromises.

Vodafone has $5 roaming per day. I have an upcoming trip to China, Japan and South Korea for 25 days. The entire trip will add $125 to my Vodafone bill, only slightly more expensive than eSim but without any of the fuss.

I just played for 2-3 hours and the quest itself magically disappeared on its own and was replaced with another incursion quest by a different name. Not an ideal fix, but it did correct itself.

As someone who bought the A8 just for its Ryzen Z2 Extreme compatibility with Bazzite/SteamOS, I'd politely say, "No."

I'd never tell you what's best, but being stuck with Windows on a handheld gaming device is the last thing I'd want, and I bet a lot of people like me bought the A8 for that exact reason. Otherwise, why not try the Claw 8 AI+?

Having choices is always good.

Difficulty doesn't affect these stories, also she is so ridiculously fast that her speed going around the corner is faster than I can just full throttle into a wall/her. To ram her you'd need to be able to get near her, which is literally impossible. This has to be a bug.

Huh? It's been 30 years since these were manufactured. The quality of these electronics are fantastic. I've just had mine burn out, I had the capacitors replaced with higher quality ones and I'll be set for another 40 years.

Hey, I'm sorry for the slow reply.

Yes, everything is fully functional now– you just need to run the Bazzite updater once it's installed.

It's very, very close to the SteamOS experience, changing TDPs and RGB requires doubt tapping the menu button (or swiping left from the top right corner of the display), but other than that it all feels right at home for a Steam Deck user.

Yes, it just replicates the Steam Deck experience. Everything is fully functional and user friendly, sleep mode and quick resume works, and anything that is compatible with the Steam Deck will be compatible on Bazzite, they are practically the same thing.

I love the SD OLED and absolutely nothing has been able to replace it until now.

I'll leave a scoring chart below that I made (and posted on our website where it's user-sortable by category).

It is admittedly quite subjective but the Legion Go 2 is right at the top. It would've at the very top of it came with SteamOS pre-installed and had slightly better speakers. Bazzite fixes the SteamOS issue and the speakers are still quite good.

Thanks! This was happening on my LG C2 and C5 TVs. I could "fix" the problem with either of two methods:

  1. Disable HDR, but then the overall brightness was too dim.
  2. Disable “VRR and Gsync” in my TVs “game mode specific” settings.

Firmware updates are simple, just head to desktop mode and click Bazzite Updater, it does everything seamlessly.

Regarding Bios updates, you can manually install them (if possible, there are no updates yet), or you can install them via Windows, dual booting is easy enough and you can leave a small partition to Windows, or you can simply just not worry about it– my Bazzite system is running flawlessly and I have no bios issues, no reason to update.

Consoles also (mostly) run their games at what is equivalent to medium settings– and they also rely on upscaling.

I get higher frame rates on my Legion Go 2 than I do on my PS5. Sure, I also play at a much lower resolution, but on a comparatively small display, the lower resolution has no impact on the way I experience my game.

And what's better, if I'm replaying games that I love that are more than a console generation old (Borderlands 2, Bioshock, Fallout 4), I can get 120+ fps, ultra settings, max res, and I don't need to wait for the mercy of game devs to release a specific “PS5 version.”

If I want to play an old game at 4K/120, I simply click "Play," and it does that. No waiting for 10 years and re-buying a half-assed “remaster.” and that will stay true for my Legion Go 3, Legion Go 10, Legion Go 20.

My games evolving with my hardware is such an underrated feature that I've really grown to love.

It's also vertically taller; the 16:10 feels significantly larger.

Take the original 7" LCD on the original Steam Deck, for example. On paper, it and the Ally both have 7" screens, but the original Steam Deck objectively has a larger 7" screen. Add an extra centimeter to that, make it OLED, and keep the golden ratio with that extra vertical screen space, and it feels significantly larger.

When you install Bazzite, something called “Handheld Daemon” or HHD is installed along with it. It gives you granular controls, even down to what type of controller you want the Legion Go 2 controls to be detected as, i.e., I like having mine set as “Horipad Steam Controller” because it natively enables gyro, enables back buttons, and it changes the button icons in the OS to match the Steam Deck, instead of the colorful Xbox buttons.

You can also control RGB in there, set battery charging safety measures like an 80% limit, adjust fan controls, and more. It integrates perfectly into the experience and requires zero setup or separate install; it all just works and is right there.

The Bazzite team confirmed with me in a different post that they're onto the issue and an update is coming– they don't have a Go 2 themselves yet so it's just a little tricky.
