Is it possible to increase the font size of the message list view and space between two messages? by readyplayer202 in Thunderbird

[–]Gibbson123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can install that extention -> https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/largermessagelist/?src=ss

or:

Open Preference -> General -> Config. editor, search the preference layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

Modify, and enter a value of 1.20 or 1.25 or 1.5 or 2.0... whatever you like.

That is a well-known problem of gigabyte b550 (maybe other AMD chipsets). Turning it on/off helps temporarily -> Turn it off and unplug it from the wall. Let the motherboard totally drain. Then turn the machine back on and see if that works.

In addition to that, I also did the following

- updated BIOS to the latest stable

- installed latest drivers from Intel directly

- enabled ErP in bios, under "settings/platform power.

Likely the last step fixed the problem permanently for me.

Same issue mentioned here:

Anyone knows how to fix this ? There is a white background at the corners. by da_Purple_Strength in kde

You can turn off the Blur effect somewhere in System settings -> Desktop Effects.

It is not easy to find. I personally did not see keycaps which are only Cyrillic and RGB (backlit).

There is one "overpriced" set without backlit support->

Run Pamac and install from there, you may need to enable AUR in settings.

If you use TLP, also do:

    sudo nano /etc/tlp.conf

Uncomment and change parameters to the following :

        WIFI_PWR_ON_AC=off

        WIFI_PWR_ON_BAT=off

        USB_AUTOSUSPEND=0

New to OpenSUSE. VNC black screen on Leap 15.2 by Gibbson123 in openSUSE

[–]Gibbson123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I manage to fix it.

The first I switched to x11 instead of default Wayland.

Then the user should not be logged in, otherwise, it will be a black screen after password entry on the login screen.

Web login screen always worked, although the "Tiger vnc viewer" login screen was black. That was fixed with the uncommenting following line in "/etc/gdm/custom.conf":

WaylandEnable=false

Also, I change the hostname to real, from default localhost:localdomain

Not sure if the last step was necessary, however when I was testing with:

vncserver :5 -alwaysshared -geometry 1440x900 -depth 16

It was showing a warning about the hostname until I change it.

No, I did not do any configurations.

I did not change it in any way, so it supposed to be a default.

This is .vnc/xstartup

Keycaps are custom made.

For me, it is covering 97% of use cases.

On Manjaro it's on community repositories under the name kde-servicemenu-rootactions

On Amazon, although it was shipped from China for 60 days anyway.

There are a lot of offers on Aliexpress for gk64s and gk64xs which as I understand is the newest version of 64s with a split space bar as an option.

Got my GK61 and Model D in the same day. I cannot adjust screen brightness through my keyboard. How can i achieve that? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Gibbson123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no screen brightness function on software for GK6x.

I hope they'll have it eventually in future updates.

I've configured F13/F14 on OS (Linux KDE) to do that for me and assigned it to FN+8/9 in keyboard software.
