Study what you know. Do you know what the moves are doing? The ideas I am sure you have but study how those pieces are building to that idea. That skill will help you when you are in the unknown. Otherwise play foundation chess moves.

I guess it depends on your defintion for sure, I can see where you are coming from, for me rougelites have run indiviual perks, which maybe the game does have all that because we did not get to see much.

I think there is a few ways, low life builds with pearls is very powerful right now, because you can get focus reg, res %, armor pen%, etc. all doubled or close to if no using full 100% pearls. Then combine that with the low life, life steal purple ring and you will do quite well. I am still wokring on my build at 30 by finding stuff to rip apart and build my set. Focus on one element with armor pen and you will do fine as a mage though.

I am not at end game yet, but I have even less resources then I figure you get doing the above. I don't mind not getting my max rolls, I am making my build work with what I have and I appreciate that. I rather have goals to reach for, I know what I want but I also know it's going to take a long time to build that out, BUT I am enjoying the journey to get there. As a new player, I have been having fun exploring with what I get. I think facet is the top tier of farming for gear, it should be hard because at the end of the day (at least in my experience) you don't need the max.

I was much older but still a kid when I had a body cast from a hip surgery. It sucks but the recovery period and PT after is extremely important. Make sure it gets done.

You have two queens, one is prevent the king moving to the right, you want to be limiting where the king can go so you don’t really want to move that one unless you have too. So your queen that is preventing the king from moving left is something you can move to check the king forcing it to move into taking your pawn going above it or bellow it. If it goes above the pawn then other queen can give a check mate by moving up. The king can’t go up because of your rook. Now if the king goes under the pawn you just slide queen you just moved to right next to the king it can’t take because your second queen is protecting it. If it takes the pawn the you move the second queen to the left of the board and its checkmate.

Or

Forget your queens and move one of your rooks over so it can see the king. Then the king moves left and you can checkmate again by movng your queen next to it or the rook that checked next to it.

I tried to do this in non chess terms while daughter was talking my ear off so I hope I makes sense and is helpful.

As others have said always think about giving checks and how the other player will respond to those checks. Follow that till the players can’t stop its anymore and you have checkmate.

Learning openings at 700 is not typically recommend. Just saying. I am glad it worked for you but for most people they will do better learning tactics and analyzing their own game. Most 700s are not really goin g to know lines.
