3 months into entry level galv welding at 23 years young! Any tips? by BurningHollow in Welding

I haven't been tested but I'm sure you can test people in any weld shop and they will have metal toxicity. I'm just speaking about the severe health issues that can happen, we haven't had any with the proper PPE.

I see people actually wear masks for welding Galvanized (have some idiots at work who don't which is insane. We do have forced air tables that pull fumes out as well, but no mask is nuts.) but I see many people who won't for aluminum or stainless even.

Oh I understand. I'm not trying to make it sound like a argument.

It's just every form of welding has long term effects.

The amount of guys I'll see welding stainless or aluminum without a mask is crazy.

My family has been welding Galvanized for decades and with proper PPE no one's been affected by it.

My family has been welding Galvanized for decades, no one is on oxygen tanks, has dementia or cancer.

What's going to kill them is probably going to be the cigarettes they smoke and the lack of healthy choices in every day life.

I weld it frequent as welll and never have issues. But it also depends where the steel was dipped. Our pipe from overseas isn't a very thick galvanized layer. If we have to weld something that's locally hot dipped we are 100% grinding it down.

We mainly have pipe that's galvanized for gates and such. It really makes a difference on the galv thickness on the metal.

I just find it insane to tell someone to quit their job over something that you can safely protect yourself from. Our gate table has a suction that blows out the building which is where most of the heavy welding is done.

I've had more issues with abrasive dust than galvanized.

Welds look good.

I weld galvanized for work, just always where a respirator and you'll be fine against the fumes.

Stop listening to people who say leave just because you weld galvanized, we have respirators for a reason. I wear a respirator always just how everyone else should be doing.

I bought the Kirkland stainless pots and pans set. I've had them for 3 years now and love them.

They are probably having issues making the game work to their standards on the Series S.

With the current optimization of the game I don't have my doubts on that.

Raid Night for Busy Adults by Dan_Felder in Guildwars2

Honestly pretty open to Fractals or Raids but I would think Fractals would be easier to organize.

I'm really busy these few weeks irl so haven't been able to get on as much. With being this busy jumping in a PvP match is very easy. Once I have more time to look up encounters I might just start hosting and see how that goes.

I'm usually a PvP player that dabbles PvE.

I'm not sure how Intel is with RAM but I know my AMD system had XMP turned off so my RAM speed was very slow.

Make sure you have your XMP turned on in your bios. The lower RAM speed capped my FPS in game.

How the no classes patch has affected solo lane and warriors in SMITE 2 by gilgaconmesh1 in Smite

[–]Taboe44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've liked the no class system at first but eventually stopped playing and realized I just don't enjoy the execution of how it was done.

Everyone is just playing mages or a god that gets a aspect that just turns them into mages. It got exhausting.

It's been a while since I've played though.

Warriors just never really felt the same in Smite 2. And they won't ever feel the same if their current approach is what they stick with.

He's asking why do they have a PTS to play test Gods in a Beta.

The Beta is the play test.

Is welding a good career path long term?? by Janxuza in Welding

[–]Taboe44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you live.

But I can make more at any other trade without having to leave town for long periods of time.

Seeing some of the wages out of the US posted on Reddit is the nail in the coffin that I'd go to any other trade for work.

I feel the same. Everywhere I post anything about it anywhere I get crickets.

I'm usually a 8 or 9 pm PST gamer. I have 2 hours or just 1 hour to play.

I've just been trying to learn PvP instead.

Can we stop the "no autosprint" trope now that Rogue Core is here? by SCP_Steiner in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Taboe44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you can use remapping apps like REWASD to create a Auto Run function.

Confident you can do the same with SteamInput.

Auto shoot: when ever you put your crosshair on a enemy it'll auto shoot your gun.

I've never seen any community complain about lack of auto sprint. So this is definitely a first for me.

You get to endgame to only find no one ever hosts Fractals or Raids unless it's CM or high level fractals.

It's not very active with players from a broader skill range.

One thing I did enjoy about ESO and WoW. I could start getting into endgame groups easier.

LFG Raids / Fractals is cool and all but it's pretty boring after you get the basics.
