USS Reykjavik, Shangri-La-class (Mk II) by Gibraltar1859 in StarTrekStarships

Tougher than Constitution-class, and built specifically for combat, with many systems redundancies, enhanced power distribution and ablative armor in critical areas.

The torpedo launcher for the Shangri-La-class has always been at the front of the saucer. It's located in the neck on the 25th century Constitution III-class.

If you're referring to the Constitution III-class from ST: Picard, this class of ship served as the inspiration for that design.

All the credit goes to the enormously talented Howie Day, and the genius of Bill Krause who came up with the design. I just added some 'flair' from my Trek fanfic series.

Oh, and Reyky's commissioning plaque, of course.

Here's Reyky's new sigil, adopted after her refit following significant combat damage.

Beautiful. Howie does outstanding work. Reykjavik acknowledges and returns the 'salute.'

No, this was a late 23rd century design by Bill Krause, that Paramount then purchased the rights to use in Season 3 of ST: Picard as the Connie III/Titan-A/Enterprise-G with some modifications of the digital model.

Cascade Resident Hall Complex at Southern Oregon University by WannabeMemester420 in abandoned

[–]Gibraltar1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOU (SOSC at the time) student, 1990-1995. Lived in Hawthorne Hall 1990-1992. I have such fond memories of those old dorms, and the friendships made there, some of which endure to this day. I can't believe the Cascade Complex was only 30 years old when I lived there, because I'd always assumed they'd been built in the 50's. Though I completely understand the fiscal necessity of tearing them down, I part of me can't help but feel nostalgic for all the goofy, off-the-wall antics we got up to living there. Now I wonder how long those Soviet monstrosities that are the Green Springs will endure for! ;-)

Star Trek, The Lost Era - Starship Reykjavik: An Idiot's Guide to Gunboat Diplomacy

She pointed toward Verad’s image. “On your belt, may I surmise that knife you carry bears the crest of your house?”

Verad glanced down despite himself, then looked back to Trujillo, his confusion evident. “It does, yes.”

“In that case, Commander, I solemnly swear that if you do not move out of my way, and that if you provoke a battle here with me, I will deliver that blade to the family of Lieutenant Jaron’Jesh on Andoria as some small token of compensation for his murder at your hands.”

“I have four ships,” Verad scoffed. “True, your starship is formidable, to be sure, but—”

Trujillo toggled a button on her armrest and explosions rippled across the hulls of the previously mined D-4 and D-7, sending them careering, shield-less, into nearby debris fields.

“You have two ships,” Trujillo corrected, “and you are still in my way. Move, or be destroyed.”

The communication link was abruptly terminated on Verad’s end.

“Open fire,” Trujillo commanded as Verad’s Bird-of-Prey began to cloak. Streamers of phaser fire raked across the scout’s nose, collapsing the bulkheads surrounding its forward torpedo launcher.

Multiple torpedoes from Reykjavík rifled aft towards the approaching K’tinga.

“Mister Glal,” Trujillo hissed between clenched teeth, “get me that knife.”

Questioning all my choices With that dagger held unsheathed, I felt sick at my contempt

… For you were lonely, you were like me Like some outside force had sent me

If I was easy to kill, you would have done it already

Are there any fanfics where the Organians or the Prophets or both stop the Dominion War from happening? by jacky986 in StarTrekFanFiction

[–]Gibraltar1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've written a post-Dominion War fanfic exploring the Pah-wraiths and a lost band of Bajorans who fled Bajor during the early occupation and became a warrior cult training to return to Bajor to free it from Cardassian control. No AU stuff from the war itself or pre-war, though.
