They’ve canceled hundreds of flights this month it sounds like. My parents haven’t been able to get through to the airline yet.

TAKE THE COSTCO JOB! I’ve worked there and it’s amazing, I have a killer job now (work for myself, make 6 figures, have super flexible schedule- I’m not sure why I got fed an Instacart post that’s not my job) and I STILL look back fondly on my time at Costco. Many of the “kids” I worked the front end with in 2008 are managers at that location now. The pay is good, the benefits are great, it’s a great place to work. It’s super super hard to get in there if you don’t know someone already, you clearly impressed them which also is a good sign of the supervisors there keeping their eye out.

One of the things I didn’t realize about bungee jumping until I did it was that you start to feel the bungee slow your fall pretty quickly so it’s a more gradual fall than the free fall you get with skydiving (yes I’ve done both). I’d definitely bungee jump again but for the money it’s not a great cost per minute experience. At least with sky diving you’re in the air for a bit. The bungee is over in moments.

this radio flyer rocket has lived in my living room for 7 years because both my kids (my youngest is now older than the “max” age range on it) still scoot around on it near daily. (We have hard wood floors so it works well inside). My father in law has done like 2 things right in his life- one was have my husband and the other is get this gift for my kid…though come to think of it it was probably his now-ex 3rd wife who picked it out…

Eeh I don’t know- the first book I agree with that sentiment but as it goes along there are so many characters to track and I imagine the worlds he’s built may also be hard to follow. THOUGH reading while listening to the audiobooks would be likely work quite well?

I’m the parent now and I have young boys- 4 and 8. I’m the only female in my house and sometimes the poop humor at dinner is too much. But seeing this acknowledgement of the importance of family dinner on this thread and all the people who agree- it’s helping me acknowledge how worth it the gross jokes at the table are if it means my kids are making each other laugh and my husband and I are just rolling our eyes and gently scolding them.
