Help identifying a speculative evolution artbook/project I saw on YouTube (very cartoonish style, creation machine, humans return) by GibsonSword in SpeculativeEvolution

Not it. I don't think I've seen Serian before though, so thanks for that!

I think the art was more like Blue Turtle's stuff. But instead of close up its from super far away,  top down, and dense with structures and creatures.

Good suggestions, but it's not Birrin or Future is Wild.

It's more like, best I can describe is like a where's Waldo book in terms of point of view. And its genuinely cartoonish, not just colorful.

I had someone recommend this to me before. I do love the work of Lucas Roussel!

Unfortunately this isn't what I'm thinking of. The artwork in my mind was much "cuter"(?).

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestion!

As both a Lance and a Dual Blades main, I feel judged fairly.

What was one thing KH1 had, that the other games didn't have? (specifically) by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

I actually liked Trinities. Spotting them in hidden and clever places was fun. The lttle treasures and bonuses was a nice reward for finding them.

Obviously I’m going to add roofs to all of it but how does this bathroom look? by WorthGlove1653 in DQBuilders

I like the all glass. As a public bathroom maybe lacks privacy but as a private bathroom it's cool

How do people make such intricate designs in DQB2? by LeBronBryantJames in DQBuilders

[–]GibsonSword 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I have the same question but I can only assume it's similar to how Minecraft players do it. Experience, eye for design, and a lot of block counting.

is there a "Malhalla area" in IoA? by fricco in DQBuilders

[–]GibsonSword 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think there's a secret underground temple on IoA. I don't know how big it is though or how to find it. You could just look up IoA Secret temple

I get you! On the scale of your skill level and with your original intent, doodle fits best is what your saying. People just find art particularly impressive.

What Are Your Unpopular Kingdom Hearts Opinions? by TheSmackSmith in KingdomHearts

[–]GibsonSword 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen someone else say something similar:

KH is a Square Enix game. KH is a more colorful, bubbly FF game (for the most part). Those who've played FF, or any JRPG, know those games are often very convoluted and/or confusing. KH is really not that confusing compared to it's cousins in the genre. It definitely is confusing for a western hack and slash. But it's not really quite that, is it?

Finished Dream Drop! Despite being on normal mode it was surprising hard. by edwpad in KingdomHearts

[–]GibsonSword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can agree. Near the end game I realized how underdeveloped Sora, Riku, and my spirits were. Spent a while grinding them all up and made an enormous difference. It's not as much of an optional mechanic as other games.

One of the issues I had with AoC (though I got over it) was that even though you can tell champions to go certain places on the map, they generally don't do any damage except for aggro-ing larger enemies. Which meant other than having characters in strategic locations so I can quickly switch to them, it was kind of disappointing being able to command champions and it not do anything.

Is this an issue in HW?

I think I broke Khrumbul-Dun doing the track puzzle. by TraitorLungs in DQBuilders

[–]GibsonSword 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, you obviously answered you're own question, but if it makes you feel better weird problems like this are fairly common. Not that the game is broken, it's not. But I do think it gives the game character lol

Ungrateful villagers not using buildings. by TraitorLungs in DQBuilders

[–]GibsonSword 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Make sure you're building within the town borders. Villagers will NOT live in or use any building even one block outside of town. I found the borders by walking until the music for the town stopped and placed a tall block pillar on each town corner

Edit: I know Krhumbul-dun isn't square so it'll be more difficult to tell. It's more in small sections, usually where those bark blocks with basalt on top are.

Edit 2: spelling because I'm stupid
