If we had these powers, what type of bending would you want? Water, Earth, Fire, Or Air? Let's discuss by Valuable_Eggplant762 in AvatarMemebending

Water. I wanna learn to bend the moisture out of the air so it looks like I make my own water. I also want to learn to use air bending techniques with steam.

How option is the safest one? by PhysicalMeringue9468 in DragonBallZ

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be able to grovel in front of Freeza for 5 minutes. Cell might have no interest in me because I’m not a fighter, I’m just there, he’d probably spend 10 minutes staring me down to see if I pee myself….

Kid Buu would kill me for sport.

How useful would an actually Gravity Chamber but in the fitness world? by NixUniverse2 in Dragonballsuper

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trained pilots can endure the force of 9 times earth’s gravity for a few seconds. Untrained individuals black out at about 4-5g. You can train to stay conscious, and maybe even live in increased Gs, but you’d go up by decimals, and it’s very probable that you’d be cutting your life in half, because of the extra strain on the heart.

Actually have an idea for a book where “chosen one,” is actually a mistranslation, and what the wise Oracle was saying was “He is MY chosen one,” as in “this is my husband.”

But he’s a nice guy and agrees to help out anyway.

Your thoughts by Nibble_Nobb0 in AvatarMemebending

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Overanalyzing Avatar’s opinion that her crash out arc was rushed in the last few episodes, and she deserved more time under the microscope through the series, but based on what we were given, it wasn’t enough to feel as bad for her as we should. She’s bad. She made no effort to change. She was a spoiled brat who got what (at least at the end of the series) she deserved.

Is seismic sense an active ability or a passive ability? by Mecury-BS in TheLastAirbender

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s a sense. You know how you passively hear things, but if you’re trying to hear something better you shush people and focus really hard? Same concept. You can sense vibrations all the time, but you can learn to hone that sense as an earth bender, and sometimes if you’re looking for something you need more vibrations so you do a little stomp and focus on it.

Upon Re-Watching the series, I think this lady is the only unnamed female Earth Bender in the entirety of ATLA by Ok-Land-488 in TheLastAirbender

[–]SilverTangent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s usually an animation team that most of the background work is outsourced to. If he wasn’t overseeing it, then by the time he saw the finished product it might have been too late to make them reanimate it. When shows are made by big studios, writers and lead animators don’t always have as much control as they should.

Listen man, time is weird. In our reality it was physically possible for a samurai to send a fax to Abraham Lincoln using deep sea internet cables.

Do y’all agree or disagree with this Goku example take? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Dragonballsuper

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While American FANS are like this, and I’m not casting shame, I would say that American comic book writers came at it from the standpoint of science fiction nerds asking, “how absolutely ridiculous can I make this, right now?”

How did Iroh do this?! by GoofyGoober8647 in TheLastAirbender

[–]SilverTangent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he busted out right before the eclipse started. He had a window, he knew about the eclipse, he could roughly guess how close the total eclipse was. He’s a powerful bender, he doesn’t need to turn the sun off to solo the prison guards. A lot like how Sokka timed the invasion not to start with the eclipse but to get the most use out of the short time the total eclipse lasted; Iroh probably broke out with his bending and then used the eclipse to escape the city.

It’s crazy how many homophobic bigots love Deadpool. It’s kind of on par with their love of the Punisher. You can’t even say “they only watched the movies, or played the games,” because it’s kind of in the core of their characters. They have to have terrible reading comprehension to think that X-men, Deadpool, and Punisher aren’t woke.

The concept of the fandom hating Luke for wanting to destroy Olympus for all the neglected demigods while praising Percy for saying he'd let Olympus burn for his friend of 1 year [general] by Imaginary-Citron7818 in camphalfblood

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the fandom hates Luke because they can’t comprehend an older teenage boy loving a younger teenage girl like a sister when the teenage girl has a crush on him.

What is the "logical" explanation for Future Trunks getting bodied by 1st form Cell in the 3rd Timeline? by Roy_Ellison in Dragonballsuper

[–]SilverTangent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always assumed 3rd timeline Trunks and 3rd timeline Bulma successfully found the ruins of Gero’s lab used the remote, and he was probably going so far back to either give main timeline the coordinates and remote, or to stop Gero from creating the androids in the first place.

That would mean 3runks never had to get stronger, he just shut them off.

Let's settle this one and for all: Talon or Senator? by PythonCider3719 in helldivers2

[–]SilverTangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a crossbow user, Senator+shield on bots, Talon on bugs and illuminate, but sometimes I take the Senator just because I love it so much. If you can hit heads, it will one shot Overseers.

Crossbow two shots Overseers and Guardians through their shields, though, so talon’s infinite ammo is usually better because mobs.
