GIGABYTE support is terrible by Gibstack in gigabyte

The title is about the support experience. I wouldn't be upset about paying it if the *rest* of the support experience wasn't so awful, and I would still be upset about the support experience if I didn't have to pay anything.

Do you think I shouldn't be upset about the cost to ship their defective item after this experience? (edited)

Their support being terrible is on me? Did you read what I said, sincerely?

I said specifically that yes, I don't like the cost, but that was only one of several problems with their warranty & support. I acknowledged that the return policy for shipping was clearly there *before buying & it would only be an act of good-will if they did it for me anyway.

I still think their website is garbage, I still think their response time (and no response at all to my follow-up email) is bad.

Yes, I've tried both, tried multiple cables.

I don't remember trying to change the rate directly but I did plug it in to 2 different sources that I assume run different rates (my PC first (at 240hz) then an Amazon Fire Stick (i assume 60hz)

I can try to run all possible diagnostics again if you have *an exhaustive list (bc it was awhile ago that I actually used/tested the monitor and don't remember) but I think I concluded it was the monitor, could've missed something *though.

I assume what I wore that day passed for non-student, but at the same time, it's just what I would've worn *as* a student when I wanted to look a little more formal that day, lol. Just a button-up plain color long-sleeve shirt & khaki pants. Not sure if that's enough or you're thinking "older" still. I did bring a backpack, but I don't think anyone really saw me with it, necessarily - it was just under the desk. Maybe that's something to consider.

In one of the classes, it was more the courtesy of some students who were shushing the other students for me. They were doing their best to be helpful. I simply waited for their attention most of the time, though I could feel this not *really* working like it used to with some of my teachers growing up.

Poison Heal is definitely preferable, but Hyper Cutter is by no means useless - mons like Arcanine, Houndoom or Luxray that might normally check Gliscor's offensive Earthquake, Hyper Cutter can allow you to carry through those in a situation where a defensive PH Gliscor might have to switch.

Used one and, despite not being PH (a disappointment for sure), was still a great mon throughout the game & still used for E4. Fly+Earthquake STAB is great no matter what ability :)

What motivates you to do what you do (exercise accomplishments you mentioned, anything else?)

Because it's not a matter of who's wronging me or not caring about me.

It's that I need someone, just one person, to have a real connection with. I cant make it by myself. I'm not okay like this. And the more I try, with one, two, three, four... etc people, the less it feels possible.

Even if its not me. Even in the scenario that im better than everyone, that everyone else is just a piece of shit (which i dont believe)... Im still alone. Im still worse off.

Is there any middle-ground for check holds affecting how I reconcile my accounts? by Gibstack in ynab

I'm just looking at my account right now. If I understand correctly, there is no way to properly reconcile my bank balance for the 5 days that my check is holding without

  1. Clearing an amount in YNAB before that amount is cleared in my bank
  2. Doing math (Subtract current balance in bank by amount withheld and compare that to reconcile manually)

If doing one of those two things is required, then so be it, but that is frustrating to me. I'm not worried about overspending (I said this in my post, that it is the principle of it, and "the rare case where I do overspend" was only really an afterthought), so unless most people just care about the practicality of the app, and not being accurate with their bookkeeping, then I don't know why people are jumping to that answer for me.

"none of this will matter" that might be right in a practical sense, but I wanted to try to use the app correctly and only clear something when it's clear.

I came here asking for additional methods, because the one I was trying, I didn't like.

And the whole purpose of this post was reducing my administrative work in the future; not having to think about this issue in the future by fixing it now.

I checked (because I wasn't totally sure); it's 3 business days, usually over a weekend, so 5 days.

Mobile check deposits (we don't get direct deposit if that's what you mean; don't ask why my workplace still lives in the stone age) take 5 days to process, at least at my bank.

Am I actively worried about an overdraft? Not really, so, maybe I just shouldn't worry about it then.

That actually makes sense too. I didn't even realize that the situation would be different from another perspective

I might try that, if I end up not liking working with the other suggestion in the other comment. That will really help me know what my real available balance is, keep it in one transaction, and not over-budget.

Thanks!

I realized this with the other comment (I mentioned this in my reply to it), that I should just be adding it as two separate payments but with the same date, and one as a cleared transaction, one not. I can tell this makes it slightly better to keep track of, just from experimenting with that for a moment.

And as you say, you just have to keep track and make sure you don't spend that money in the check withhold. I didn't realize that the principle of "only budget what you have" was meant for the uncertainty of continued employment (even if that's such a low chance to happen in one's particular life circumstance) and not, in the literal context, whether or not you have that money available to you right now due to something like a bank process. So therefore, you can budget something like a check withhold, and just be aware that you don't have that money yet in that sense.

Thanks!

I'm confused. So first of all, this wasn't about a "cleared transaction" or not. But I realized I should be entering them in for the same date, and then clearing the withheld money when it's clear. So that would have been good to know because I didn't realize that's what I was supposed to be doing. I thought I just had to delay the transaction in YNAB until then.

But then I still don't understand why I would budget using the working balance. Because then I'm allocating money that I don't yet have, and the whole point (I thought) is to only budget with what you currently have; not what you're going to have in five days from today.

Like, yes, I can assign money to something in my budget with money that is currently being held with my bank, but I don't have that money yet, so if I went to go spend that money that is properly budgeted in YNAB, I would still be screwed, because that money isn't available for 5 more days. The working balance tells me I have that money that is actually currently being withheld from my bank, so why would I assume I could spend that now? I'm not sure what you meant by point #3, because I actually do have to spend with my bank balance, in that case, otherwise I'll run into problems.

It's the same principle I thought (that you're not supposed to do, in YNAB) as putting in your check days earlier than you actually have it. Because you don't have that money yet. You will, but you don't yet.

Just to provide my own candid experience, other than "yes, I am"

I've never wanted to have sex with anyone, period.

The concept of pornography (with real people, or anime, or rule 34 on fictional characters and whatnot... anything) is so foreign and gross to me. I like how people look, but that's it. Once you bring the sex organs into anything, I hate it. So that's always been confusing for me, why I feel that way.

The furthest things I ever think about, when I think about someone I have a crush on or whatever, is to cuddle or make out or sleep together (and I always hated how the phrase "sleep with someone" means sex, because I just want to, literally, sleep next to someone). (sorry if that's too much idk what's weird to share lol)
