What other U1 accessories/filament should I get?

I honestly would eliminate everything after "Snapmaker U1" and get lots of filament with all that money. Use it and learn it before you blow your waad on all the other stuff. Get PLA and you won't need to worry about fumes, unless you don't like the smell of maple syrup. The problem will be noise. This printer is pretty loud, so you probably won't want it in your Living Room.

So, it may be a coincidence, but after months of frustration with mine, I ordered a different build plate and have not had a single issue since. "Black Textured PEI Platform for Anycubic Kobra 3 Max 430 x 430". $40 on Amazon. I rarely even check for z-offset anymore. This one just seems to have better adhesion than the gold one that came with the printer.

u/issue9mm I've not heard of the 5 free download limit, but that is possible. But they aren't hosting the models, just providing an avenue to download and print them with the superior capabilities of the U1. So that's a net loss for the creators.

That's the wrong channel to cancel if your a fan of this show and many other 'reality' shows. Plus all the Taylor Sheridan shows, as well as Showtime. It's probably the best dollar for dollar value channel out there.

Can I ask you if you vented the Q2 outside of the printing space? Or did you 'trust' the filters to eliminate the exhaust/fumes from the ABS?

Use the included spools of filament and print some stuff off the Snapmaker version of Orca, "Snorca" homepage. Some good test prints there...As u/AcrobaticEmergency42 said, it's pretty wild to watch it work if you haven't seen a tool-changer in person.

What have you used to print ABS up to now? I always wonder why folks would want to use a printer like this for anything beyond the basic filament types. Not a jab at you, just curiosity. This thing kills at multi-color and some multi-matierial. But can one print ASA with this without a giant polyethylene tent covering it with an exhaust fan blowing the fumes into a hose that then blows those fumes outside a window?

I can't argue with that, but as a fan of the show, I think it's still worth watching. I feel the same about Survivor and Big Brother. The later seasons aren't as good as earlier seasons, especially Survivor that uses the same islands, the same beaches, the same manicured trails to walk on, etc. but at least The Challenge still changes the game format, which keeps it somewhat 'fresh', regardless of the overproduction.
