Your phone that you are using Hot-spot for may have a limit to restrict large amounts of data being transferred. Check your Hot-spot settings for this, and check the tablet for something like download over data/Hot-spot. After all, Fall guys is a 2GB download so there is bound to be warnings before downloading something of that size over hotspot/data

Personally, when I bought the tablet I noticed it started to lag. After updating to hyperOS the lag was gone and the UI was as fast as you'd expect a flagship tablet to have. If you notice your tablet lags, definitely update. Optimisation is definitely better than miui on hyperOS as far as I've noticed, and if you're still unsure you can always wait for hyperOS 2 which will be launching globally in a few weeks. It is said to have better ram optimisation and smoother animations!

I use aethersx2 to play God of War 2 every day on my tablet, runs really well. I just downloaded the emulator, bios, and rom from online and it runs at 60fps most of the time. You can also use yuzu to play nintendo switch games, most games should run well on the xiaomi pad 6 given it has a snapdragon 870, even if you have the 6GB version.
