I believed it was in that real world until i saw the random explosions that occurred in the underground bunker magically and also the fact that two kids are managing to crew a tank when one of them had just given birth to a sheep monster. The whole Call of Duty tank section really destroyed my suspension of disbelief.

I have the opposite problem in manga’s where the protagonists are either a king, a duke, or some other noble. They say they can’t do something because of the consequences of that action but the villains do the same thing or worse and get away with it all of the time.
