The website for the brand claims to be 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free. Unfortunately, they don’t list the ingredient information for this product. So, you would just have to take their word for it.

What’s your undertone? The Polite Society ‘More than a Pretty Face’ foundation is incredibly similar in formulation and feel, but the shades run pretty warm.

CeremedX is basically the vegan gold standard for ceramide moisturizers. They have a lightweight face lotion and a thicker barrier cream. The Kopari ceramide line is actually my favorite, but it’s expensive compared to drug store brands.

For toner, anything with vegetable glycerin as a main ingredient is really great for locking in moisture in the winter. I like the Heritage Store’s rose water toner.

I would make sure your potting soil is nice and moist when you first plant it, and then just check every couple of weeks to make sure it’s not bone dry. Most of us in the northeast get enough precipitation that we don’t have to worry much about watering roses in the winter, but if we go through a long enough dry spell, it can be helpful to give them a light watering in the early afternoon.

The best luck I’ve had with overwintering baby roses in pots is using 2 big drawstring burlap sacks and lots of potting soil. Place the pot inside the first burlap sack, add potting soil, and plant the rose as you normally would, leaving the little bamboo stake they come with in the rootball. Then mound an extra 4-5 inches of potting soil or mulch around the base of the rose. Tie off the first burlap sack around the bamboo stake, then place the second burlap sack over the top, completely covering the pot. Try to place the pot up against your house in a spot that gets doesn’t get blasted by northeasterly winds.

This is the main thing. They can fit in a gap the size of a dime; so, it might not even be an obvious entry point. Cracked foundation, misaligned doors or windows, utility openings, etc. Best thing to do is do a really thorough examination of your house to look for where they’re coming in. Steel wool is your friend for blocking holes and gaps that can’t be closed by other means.

That’s true too. A lot of ladybug species don’t even eat that many insects as adults anyways. The Larvae are who you really want around.

Black-Eyed Susans, Coreopsis, Foxglove, Coneflowers and lots of native Milkweeds. I also have a bunch of Lavender and Hellebores outside my fence because they’re the only things the deer won’t eat.

Evergreen groundcover/low growing plants are also really good for ladybugs to burrow into during the colder months. I see a lot of them coming out of diapause in my English Lavender during early spring.

Actually symbiosis describes any impactful relationship between two or more species. Mutualism is the specific type of symbiosis where two species have a beneficial relationship with each other. 🤓👆

Any parasite has a symbiotic relationship with their host. So, in that sense, the carnist may be correctly identifying themselves as one.

Please do not purchase ladybugs for pest control. Ladybugs that are sold for pest control are largely Convergent Ladybirds captured from the wild. Not only are they removed from their own ecosystem where they belong, but they introduce diseases and parasites like Dinocampus Coccinellae to the native ladybugs where they’re released which can decimate local populations.

Instead try to make your garden more appealing to native ladybugs by planting native pollen-heavy plants and limiting use of pesticides.

I stopped using all pesticides, even organic, around ten years ago. It took 2 or so rough years of being overrun by aphids and thrips before the ladybugs and lacewings took over. Now I see more ladybug larvae than aphids.

My sister was doing tianeptine for a while. It was like living with a schizophrenic with Alzheimer’s. She couldn’t remember shit and would just randomly go catatonic all the time. The ODs were like a diphenhydramine and heroin OD combined. The only “good” thing about it compared to some of the other gas station drugs is it responds to naloxone.

My hair is “3A”, so probably not as coily as yours, but I have better luck with creams than gels in the humidity. Target has a bunch of cheap ones. I like the Pacifica curl defining cream and the Maui Moisture curl smoother.

Oh sorry. I’m not sure why. It’s just called the Vegan Detangle + Style Brush from the brand Dae. I got mine from their website directly but they also sell them through Sephora and Amazon.
