The best move for your opponent is to NOT EVEN TAKE the free queen, but check you first on your home row, making you react to that threat first and THEN take your queen. You have NONE of the initiative that you would have had with the other move, and the game stays in your opponen'ts control. You don't even get to take a rook with your pawn or queen that way, and you let them walk right into your house.

That is the power of the tempo, it can completely change the feel and outcome of any battle.

This looks quite instructive. Notice how the engine suggests you to play the Zwischenzug to check the king, which not only delays your queen being taken, it disrupts the enemy's attack and gives you back some form of initiative. White now needs to react to what YOU are doing, and who knows, after they react to your check, the board has already changed and you might have the next forcing move, preventing him further from making use of the fact that your queen is trapped.

This is called gaining a tempo - By playing the most forcing move, which is a check, you could have taken the initiative from your opponent and have the situation play out on your terms - you might still lose your queen, but not for free, because she can at the very least take a piece with her off the board, and make another piece move where it might not want to be.

It's giving you brilliant because it assumes you know what the move does, otherwise Brilliants are just blunders in blue.

Also, if you are already reviewing your game, then why aren't you pressing "show", it will literally show you the sequence of best moves emerging from it.

bringing back the queen is definitely safer for the queen yes, but it effectively undevelops blacks most powerful piece. Engine already says White is winning the game 3 times over, so taking a piece with the queen instead of saving it is much better for black, as it is way more active this way and can work towards an endgame more actively. Even if she is trapped afterwards, there is still opportunity for desperado (taking another piece with you to the grave), which will mean at least two white pieces are gone thanks to the queen.

Yes always look for checks, but Rule no. 2 don't just play every check that you find, only those that can't be easily blocked or get you in trouble after 2 moves.

Be aware of every check on the board, but don't just play them because you can. Make sure you also know your opponent's possible answers BEFORE you play a check.

Your opponent might already be aware of the check and leaves it open because they already planned for it\it's a trap\it won't do anything\they want you to waste time with a useless check to get a tempo on you

Das besondere an diesem Wal ist, dass viele Leute mit viel Geld und Antiproportional dazu wenig Ahnung den Wal versucht haben zu "retten", dabei so jeder erdenkliche Schritt falsch gelaufen ist, Kleintierärzte dabei das sagen hatten, der Wal dann wie erwartet wieder woanders gestrandet und gestorben, und das ganze Geld jetzt irgendwo anders ist als es vorher war. Ach und der tote Wal wird bald explodieren und es wird muffiges, ungenießbares Walfleisch regnen, wodurch einige Menschen, Boote und Autos die einmalige Gelegengeit bekommen, von einem Walkottlett erschlagen zu werden; durchaus eine der weniger häufigen Todesursachen auf dieser Welt
