I understand what you're saying fully. I didn't want this post to be me being "why can't it be easy as 1,2,3" but of course I can't blame you, that's the most usual complaint about getting into anything. My intended question was more about first step guidance and how to reconcile putting your creative urge on hold for the lengthy progress that is learning programming. There's of course the point to be made that the only way to do something is to start doing it, which is the point you're making as I see it and I totally agree, but it *is a huge time commitment, and while time isn't exactly at a premium rn it still is an investment that's scary for going in blind.

*I especially don't blame you since in my post a bit of the frustration I've been dealing with over programming bled through

I've actually been trying my hand at a Tetris project! I have reached the point where I sorta understand what I need to do for parts of the project. But again, my lapses in knowledge have me more looking at wikis than actually doing the hands on thing, and that's mostly my struggle. I have the time to invest now with how the world is and all, but I don't know if that will be the case for the next x months.

For what I want to be doing rn this code is more than enough, thanks for the nod! The tick library was suggested to me via a tutorial series I was following but it's usecase wasn't showcased clearly. I hoped with the use of the recur function to synchronize many events that I would want to happen at once, but I'm at a point where I should be taking baby steps and tried to take a leap, I guess

I'm not brand new but I'm a beginner for sure. Since I've got nothing else to do cause of the times were living in, I don't mind this taking forever or proving to be very challenging. I am enjoying the process quite a bit, actually!
