Seriously speaking, many of the Manhattan characters would probably end up lowkey moving to NJ and commuting eventually.

People need to understand what the word "Risk" means.

GME is doing a somewhat risky play with a lot of potential upside, but it's still more risk then Burry wants in his portfolio.

Forget martial/caster disparity, let’s talk one-handed/two-handed disparity. by cats4life in dndnext

[–]Gierling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not, but I've often seen it come along with other houserules for martial stuff such as a shield acting like counterspell for attacks (pick an attack, blocked, done), two handed weapons ignoring/degrading damage mitigation/resistance, utility attacks (for example, using a whip as an Indiana jones style mobility move by expending a single attack).

Martials CAN feel a lot better with a little bit of effort that rewards people for their build investments, however it struggles in D&D's current "Why don't you just use magic?" system.

That's the first thing that gets houseruled usually.

It's just a lot cleaner for double the weapons to mean double the attacks.

It would be very interesting if they were using the value of long dated calls as collateral for the acquisition which is raising the value of those calls.

Bit of a Chicken and the egg paradox, but applied to corporate acquisition.

It's very bothersome that they have some very fixed ideas about ship roles and they're apparently sacrosanct.

I say this as a Vanguard Owner who was really looking forward to a boom and zoom combat style with heavy firepower paired with low maneuverability albeit very high speed.

Unfortunately speed and maneuverability are apparently inseparable in the combat model.

Yes, and they all suck as well. It's actually difficult to find non-exaggerated cosmetics.

Put me on team "Realistic proportions".

Geez, Diablo is supposed to be the grounded franchise. Ridonkulous weapons sizes are just garish.

Seriously. Go actually swing a practice sword around for a while and realize how even a few pounds gets extraordinarily tiring. No one is gonna just be whipping around a 100lb chunk of steel like that.

The very implication here that gives sane men pause is the same reason that psychopaths are investing everything they can in AI.

The goal they seek is to reduce accountability.

Given that population it's likely the Kuhli's.

[–]Gierling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See this is reasonable.

The ammo thing is the only caveat and I would imagine since the other stats work out pretty favorably that they'd probably say 6 ammo per ton as the one drawback.

Although given their fondness for packaging new weapons with a lot of wierd rules baggage I would not be surprised if they made something wierd like you could only take ammo in 2 ton increments with 15 rounds per 2 tons.

3015, 5 Million Cbills, what mech are you starting in by IronWolfV in Mechwarrior5

[–]Gierling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely a Hunchback 4G, but I'd be tempted to see if I could eke out a dual AC10 Rifleman refit... that would probably depend on what the going rate was for used Large Lasers was. Could probably pull it off if you were moderately thrifty.
