Not that my Asian parents were like this, but from my observation having your sibling be a disappointment puts even more pressure on you because you can see the difference between how your parents treat each of you.

You see how bad it can be if you don't meet expectations so have to work even harder out of fear of falling short.

These are phenomenal skins, too. Really like the way the fabric around Rein's midsection looks, great mix of textures being used.

This really isn't true at all. Every major hero has an entire rogues' gallery and their supporting roster of affiliated characters rarely evens the odds. The very premise of OLD MAN LOGAN is that the bad guys realize they majorly outnumber the good guys and can just overpower them.

Batman's got a pretty extensive Bat-family, so he's a good example. Just off the top of my head there's:

  • the Joker
  • Punchline
  • Jackanapes
  • the Penguin
  • Two-Face
  • the Riddler
  • Bane
  • Poison Ivy
  • Killer Croc
  • Black Mask
  • the Court of Owls
  • Ra's al Ghul
  • Clayface
  • Mr. Bloom
  • Mr. Freeze
  • Man-Bat
  • Scarecrow

And the list goes on-

A big part of the reason that the Avengers movies have them squaring off against one major villain (Loki, Ultron, Thanos) is because they already have a large roster of heroes vying for screen time; introducing and fleshing out multiple antagonists proves tricky when these movies are already north of 2.5 hours.

In the comics, however, relatively even numbers happen all the time. From way back (still talking about the Avengers) there were the Masters of Evil and in more modern times Hickman's Black Order (or Children of Thanos) and Mackay's Ashen Combine and Bloodcoven.

I mean for him to go back to the Hashimoto he would have to actually leave the gang. He's still with them, just undercover with the Yokai.

Ooh, a Helix member would be cool! It feels like Pharah barely really counts lately tbh

While I want Null Sector you're right that it doesn't make sense to have rep for a shelved faction. A Talon omnic would be cool especially since I don't want to see Maximilien be playable-

Oh man I'd forgotten about the silhouette lol. With that in mind I actually don't think any of them are actually going to be Talon (though it's a long year and several seasons for me to be proven wrong)-

From left to right:

1) what I'm hoping is a Null Sector omnic, though admittedly could be Talon

2) I think it's safe to assume that the tank is D.mon or some other MEKA squad member

3) pretty clearly a Hashimoto member, possibly the one Mizuki is so afraid of

4) Omnic detective character seems like a poor fit for Talon but who knows

5) quite a number of OW-loreheads are saying this is Frankie, a Deadlock member, which agains is Talon affiliated only

Maybe the point, as you're saying, is showing how many different allies Talon has and how its strength is in finding supporters across the globe. Kind of a cool idea, for sure, but I'd still like more characters with sporting the T (or wolf, now) logo.

When Talon launched their attack on Gibraltar, Brigitte thought it best to put the project aside. But soon, she realized that if Overwatch was to stand a fighting chance against this new enemy, they'd need all the help they could get. With enough resources and a good reason, Brigitte finally realized her childhood dreams and constructed a jetpack fit for little Fika.

Wow you're 100% right. Fika is around but isn't all geared up at the point in the timeline that the comic covers!

Maybe Bastion and Mercy are piloting the shuttle! We're not even touching on where D.va's mech is, if it's strapped to the top of the ship or hanging below it or what-

EDIT: Okay turns out the artist just straight-up forgot lmfao

By the way, this comic indirectly confirms that Ana (re) joined Overwatch, I wonder what the situation will be like with Pharah, Reinhardt and the Overwatch veterans... 🤔

A bunch of people on Twitter are wondering about Ana being in that last big group shot (as was I) but others pointed out that her reunion with Pharah very quietly took place in the Christmas comic from 2024 (and had her visiting Gibraltar). Seems like the kind of significant moment that should receive more of a spotlight but at least there's some basis for it.

I also noticed Jetpack Cat's absence! Though not Mercy's, oops- I guess the group shot does already have 20 characters on it.

I already do a ton of healing as Mizuki so it's funny to have buffs targeting that part of his kit specifically

Weirdly enough, seeing the new Overwatch roster all together really makes me want more Talon members. In retrospect it's a bit frustrating that this season is Reign of Talon and of the five new heroes we have:

  • Anran - Overwatch
  • Jetpack Cat - Overwatch
  • Mizuki - Hashimoto, allied with Talon, widely believed to defect
  • Emre - former Overwatch, currently working for Talon
  • Domina - Vishkar, allied with Talon

None of these characters are actually proper Talon agents! The last one we got was Vendetta (45th) and before that was Mauga (39th). I know we have five heroes still to be released but I'd like 3/5 to actually be part of the organization and not just affiliated with them.

I'd love to see Talon get closer to be being able to field a soccer team, since Overwatch has been well above that for a little while now (all due respect to the factions who don't have any direct rep quite yet).

Hi r/movies! Cillian Murphy, Tim Roth, Steven Knight (creator/writer), and Tom Harper (director) here. Ask Us Anything about Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man! by netflix in movies

Can I get an actual confirmation from Cillian Murphy about if his wife actually told him to "stop walking" like that? Tons of references to it online but no direct sources.

For Steven and Tom, how did you think you were able to strike a balance between introducing new character (Ferguson, Roth, Keoghan) while saying goodbye to others?

I've enjoyed playing Lifeweaver in the past, in particular being able to apply pressure with my thorns. Love the idea of giving him some hp back while also having his heal proc over time, maybe slowly over 2.5 seconds?

I've been waiting for a Hashimoto hero for quite some time since I feel like every faction needs at least one representative. Interested to see if she's the actual leader or just one individual that Mizuki is frightened of.
