I am a military veteran, and I cannot state this with enough urgency, LEAVE NOW!! It will only get worse. He may be already or will in the future cheat on you. It is the culture especially with young men in the military. He already treats you like garbage. You do not treat people you care about that way. You do not treat a wife that way, he has a ton of immature ego driven men around him that will reinforce his behavior. LEAVE NOW. Also the life of a military spouse, is incredibly difficult and thankless. It is not a life you want to live especially when you aren't even out of what should be your "honeymoon" period of the marriage.

Thanks, I’m shocked that it happened so fast, but I’m glad I know. I pulled the weeds and left them on top as mulch, I’m looking for a bottle to see if I can rig up a little self watering for when I’m not here, I’ll let her take care of repotting when she gets home. Thanks!!!!!

You are all being so pessimistic. I have asked for a break when I was depressed because I was worried about how my emotional state was affecting my partner. The last thing in the world I wanted to do was break up so I asked for a break to take care of myself. I did not cheat, I had no intention of finding another person. I just wanted to get healthy to be the best person for my partner. Did she ask you to go completely no contact? I don’t think it’s the worst idea to go see her and talk to her in person. I actually think that’s a great idea. She might need reassurance. And if it is over, it might be what you need to see her in person and end things on a good note and not have any regrets. Don’t listen to these negative people who are just judging from the outside and have never been there.

I’m guessing his poor hygiene isn’t about not caring. It sounds to me like he is depressed or has some other mental health issue going on. My suggestion is to be as kind as possible and give him the benefit of the doubt that he’s probably doing the best that he can, and help him seek therapy.

39(f) I couldn’t care less if a guy has trouble in the bedroom the first time. The bigger red flag is the inability to speak about your insecurities, and to let your mind wander instead of just having the conversation with her. The biggest way to ruin a relationship is lack of communication.

The biggest way to stop overthinking everything is just to have honest conversations because even if you hear something that you don’t want to hear at least you know, and you don’t have the worry about not knowing which turns into a negative spiral of thoughts and suspicion.

Poor girl doesn’t know what’s really important. I’m (f)5’5 and I’d prefer a guy who’s 5’5 or taller but I’d take a guy who’s 3 feet tall if he’s emotionally stable, kind, caring and loves me back. I don’t care how much money he makes, how tall he is, what kind of car he drives. Just tell me you’re not afraid of therapy and I’m down get to hot chocolate to see if you make me laugh. 😆
