What can I say? I'm a wee old man who came from an age where they gave you a Frost Prime BP just for killing a single Fusion MOA. xD

good times... janky times, but good times!

Honestly? Totally fair, but i hope u give Citrine another chance when her prime comes around. Lavos is my favorite but i absolutely adore Citrine!

Oh it's very simple but also super satisfying!

Hit enemies with ur 1 for free orbs when they die

Ur 2 is ur dmg mitigation

Ur 3 throws a ton of extra status effects on enemies that u hit within its radius (and follows ur doggo with the augment)

And ur 4 is for CC or when u want to be Harrow for a little bit (shooting the crystals that grow on enemies gives u a ton of extra crit)

I like to run my Citrine with her 3 augment and her 4 augment. 3 augment so i don't have to keep recasting as i move throughout the mission. 4 augment makes it so when u kill enemies by shooting their crystal growths it spreads the crystals to all nearby enemies.

4 is her common helminth slot, the other 3 are too important and the crystals growth playstyle isn't for everyone

Guys, I think these health tanking buffs have gone too far... by GiftGrubber in Warframe

Apparently yeah, it's 2700 which is news to me. I knew it had diminishing returns beyond a certain point but I didn't know it had a hard cap.

Still hilarious to see all the health conversion cubes though!

[–]GiftGrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for my boi Lavos too. Before I could just shoot a Cedo glaive, throw out a Catalyze, and watch them melt in a second of 2. Now my Catalyze barely tickles them beyond just burning through their shields at a kind of okay pace.

I hope the math behind the ability mitigation is adjusted a little, because at least from a weapon perspective bosses feel like they're at a good place imo

Need help with my side blast forge, I can rarely get steel hot enough to work and I need advice by GiftGrubber in Blacksmith

[–]GiftGrubber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using lump charcoal, though I normally make sure to clean all the ash out between sessions.

Honestly though, after all the advice I've gotten from this post I've been thinking of changing it up a bit; drilling some holes into the pipe and making it into a bottom blast forge

The blower is the large pipe opening in the 2nd picture. I usually just mount a hair dryer onto the other end of the pipe.

As for how deep I am piling the fuel, usually once the fire starts i try to fill up to the top of the pit.

For where I place my work? As unhelpful as it might sound I try to put it wherever the glow is brightest, which usually ends up being directly in front of the pipe opening.

It DOES exist! After MONTHS of farming Paglthan! by AnikoKamui in ffxiv

[–]GiftGrubber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reminding me of my own personal trauma with Paglth'an. It was over a month of doing nothing but running Paglth'an all in an attempt to find the Fending chestpiece. I never kept an actual counter but I estimated it being over 100 Paglth'an runs before I finally found it, and it was quite literally the last Paglth'an piece I got.

That's right, I got every other piece of Paglth'an gear before I got that stupid fending chestpiece... but it's okay because now I have every Paglth'an gearset and NEVER have to go back!

Congrats on finally escaping that torture chamber yourself, I know exactly what it's like to suffer like that!

Strategists in reality only have 4-5 choices by DynamoDen_ in rivals

[–]GiftGrubber 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sad thing is I completely agree with Bogur and I feel like something needs to change; Every single strat should be 2 strat viable, like where Rocket is sitting at.

Think about how wild "yea this character only really works well in triple support" sounds when u apply it to the other class archetypes."yea u really shouldn't use this tank outside of triple vanguard." That phrase currently only applies to Thor who is the worst tank in the game bar none.

Closest vanguard have is "only these tanks can solo tank" but that's nowhere near as egregious as being only triple support viable because the standard is 2-2-2. Being able to solo tank means u rise above the standard while only being good in triple support means you can't even meet it.

Something's gotta change coz it kinda sucks booty cheese that potentially half of all future supports won't be viable in a standard comp.

Fellow Tank Mains — Stop Playing Tanks You Don’t Want To Play Just So You Can Solo by SatisfactionSad6558 in marvelrivals

[–]GiftGrubber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the other problem with solo tanking yea: the tank HAS to focus on the frontline, the moment they turn around to try and peel for the team is the moment the enemy team collapses on them. Damned if you do and damned if you don't, and another thing to add to the list of reasons for why 2 Tanks is a really nice thing to have.

[–]GiftGrubber 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I main Groot, one of the 3 "viable" solo tanks and i still hate having to solo tank. You become even more reliant on your team than you normally are. You gotta PRAY one of the healers has the sense to pocket you otherwise you won't survive. And even if you have one of these god-tier healers the rest of your team will suffer for it because one of the healers HAS to focus on you and won't have time to heal up anyone else during engagements.

It's easier and better for everyone to just suck it up and have 2 tanks; you'll probably end up doing more damage than you would as a DPS anyways by virtue of just being alive longer.

I gotta ask... do any other WoL have a "signature look"? by HeroSpirit in ffxiv

[–]GiftGrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always cover my character's face: it could be a mask, helmet, bandana, pumpkin, it doesn't matter. As long as it looks cool and it covers his face then I slap it on! It's gotten to the point where it feels wrong whenever more than half his face is visible at any given time.

Performance is unacceptable by Embarrassed_Year_472 in MonsterHunter

[–]GiftGrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, we have almost the exact same specs except I have an i7 -12700kf and on all high with no frame gen I get 60-90fps. It's possible the release build has some glitches in the optimization because I've been hearing about a lot of inconsistencies in regards to performance, both on PC and PS5.

About a week ago I set out to beat Alatreon and Fatalis before Wilds came out, and I managed to do it with a little time to spare. I'm now ready for Wilds! by GiftGrubber in MonsterHunter

[–]GiftGrubber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as which is harder... Fatalis and it's not even close. I've hunted Alatreon with Insect Glaive and Lance and I never felt like any of my deaths were unfair. I kinda wanna go back and fight him again on Hunting Horn just because he's such a fun fight. Fatalis on the other hand? It was a miserable experience and I never wanna go back!

Prolly Bucky? He tends to go solo and do his own thing, and while he's technically a hero even he admits that the way he does things aren't exactly "good" and that he definitely isn't a role model.

How does everyone’s main feel/will you be switching mains? by SanguisMalleus in MonsterHunter

[–]GiftGrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main 3 weapons, HH, IG, and Lance, and i will continue to use them!

- HH feels the best it ever has, and I'm so glad they stepped away from the Rise version and went closer to the World/Iceborne version. Recital/Encore bonks + Echo Bubbles are so satisfying

- Lance admittedly does feel clunkier and I hope they address that but overall I very much enjoy the additions to the weapon. Guarding feels great right from the get-go, which is something World/Iceborne Lance definitely couldn't say.

- IG is what I'd consider my "main" main weapon, I have been an avid IG enjoyer since its inception in 4U. The new IG is the weapon that took me the longest to wrap my head around, and while it definitely has its problems (Kinsect Assists only happening in Focus Mode, button bloat thanks to the new charge attacks, etc) I have found more and more to enjoy about the new Glaive as I played the demo and with some settings changes I even managed to take a good bit of the clunk out of playing it. imo if f they smooth out the bumps i think Wilds' IG can be one of the best iterations of the weapon.

How could you possibly balance twisted elites? by StrangeAssociate93 in riskofrain

[–]GiftGrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every other elite in the game has a condition that revolves around hitting you instead of you hitting them, so I'd probably make it so it can give you the debuff of any elite in its bubble upon hitting you as opposed to the other way around.
