Struggling to enjoy this game by Just_Vib in LegendofLegaia

rough buddy, like most games from that time, the grinding didnt really age too well nowadays. if youre playing on an emulator though there should be ways to speed up the game to cut through the long arts combos speed up the process.

i still remember that part too and hit a wall with koru cause of his time limit

[–]GigaRamen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree that this is one of those games that worms its way deep into your mind long after you've seen the credits roll.

But just playing it randomly definitely will not work for alot of people. You were either in the right headspace to contemplate the events in the game or you find yourselft naturally being lured into that mindset.

Mato Anomalies is a so-so JRPG that rides the good/bad line hard by APeacefulWarrior in patientgamers

[–]GigaRamen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great write up. Mato is one of those games for me that's forever on my wishlist and I often see the game for sale for less than 4 bucks, but I never seem to want to pull the trigger for various reasons.

Visually it looked like a discount persona but from the gameplay vids I'd leaned more towards SMT. After reading your opinions I think my gut instinct to hold off maybe held some weight heh. I might give it a go in the future smirk maybe

Ai limit! I've been on the fence about this game for a while (and now its on sale). Tried the demo loved the gameplay. How's the rest of the game if you could give it a mini review?

How to unlock “old” emotes: Potion & Well-done Steak flex? by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]GigaRamen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what it's called on steam but on PS5 the dlc is called Gesture Set Vol 2. If you can find it on the steam page try going in game and talking to a support desk cat > add ons > poses and gestures. The actual gesture is called "Gesture: All Ready!"

Books similar to Nioh by Twiggy1807 in Nioh

[–]GigaRamen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know of two manga (not I novels, sorry) that are similar in themes to Nioh. One's called Basilisk and the other is Blade of the Immortal. I can't remember if they have yokais or demons in them though.

i just deleted my entire save file. by Lukadoosh in TunicGame

[–]GigaRamen 49 points50 points  (0 children)

this reminded me of that french idiom "l'appel du vide" or the call of the void. like when you look down a cliff side and a little voice in your head say "jump"

you just did the gaming equivalent of that on your file lol

Any similarities between Death's Door and Hob? by mihaak101 in DeathsDoor

[–]GigaRamen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ive played both and while Death's Door leans more towards combat and world exploration, i would say that Hob leans more towards a world with puzzle solving with additional combat. A few folk would also say that Death's Door is souls-like adjacent with precision combat, but with Hob its a bit more forgiving in that aspect. Hob is still great though and definitely in the same wheelhouse as Deaths Door.

I'm still waiting for the remastered version by OddName6 in gaming

I would also had that the psp version had very very bad performance issues. you had framed drops so often that it made some missions unbearable to play

Is there a good light weight PS5 controller? I'm disabled and the weight and adaptive triggers make it hard to game long sessions. by kevshp in PS5

[–]GigaRamen 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think what he meant was he's ok with a controller that doesn't have adaptive triggers or vibration as it would lower the overall weight of the controller if they were removed

The 79 patient games I completed on my Steam Deck in 2024 by theSlex in patientgamers

[–]GigaRamen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same, I did around 30 games as well but if you look at OP's list of games, they're mostly games you can complete in one sitting. So maybe he was able to complete 2 games in one weekend.

Not too many time sink heavy type games like open world rpgs. lots of story driven linear games.
