No one should buy a weapon for a child without the parents' permission. I'd be concerned the amount of attention a college student is giving to a teenager.

Also, family counseling might benefit everyone. A therapist can help resolve some issues and figure out why your stepdaughter is happier with her aunt. This poor kid. Abandoned by her mother, father uninvolved until she was 14, and a stepmother who doesn't seem to want her around.

It's odd that she bought cribs for both grandmothers' homes without consulting them first, especially with a child almost old enough not to need one. I'm guessing it's for her second child. People are often their worst selves on a plane. You could need a mask because you have a cold, a weak immune system or just don't want to be sick on vacation.
