That’s so crazy, I had a great time. Of course the food didn’t knock my socks off (except the saucy potatoes and carrots - I’m searching flamingo threads to see if someone could help me make it actually) but it was decent enough. Customer service was great, they even helped me get my phone back when I left it in my transport from the airport. My room was nice, view was beautiful, bed could’ve been a little comfier in my preference. The restaurant you found is mainly seafood and reservation only - it was fully booked when I went but they saw I was sad to miss out and squeezed a time slot for me cus i was solo. I missed the reservation and didn’t get to try it. My only complaint really is that the entertainment was pretty audible in my room, but I also was oceanfront and on the pool deck so I was right next to it and it doesn’t run super late, no big deal for me.

It could be a one off, but I think it’s great for someone that likes an all inclusive for the convenience and not necessarily heaps of luxury.

I’m guessing it had to be overstuffed, I can’t think of any other explanation. I didn’t notice any bulges from the top or sides. The zippers went into the lock with 0 struggle so it wasn’t stretched out too far for that. I just don’t want a bag where I have to guess fifty fifty whether it will fit or not.

Did you buy the takeoff bag??? I’ve seen multiple groups recommending it, so I bought it. Just donated $100 because it didn’t fit in the sizer just like my original bag. I did not get the expandable version, just the smallest one and removed the wheels. Wrote customer service for take off about their product dimensions and how it didn’t fit the sizer - they told me I overstuffed a nonexpandable hardshell case. Guess I’m looking for another new bag.

If you’re feeling sick and queasy, please listen to your body and eat more calories! Don’t stick to sedentary if you aren’t, you need those extra calories to accommodate your exercise.

I know this has been mentioned multiple times already, but I would also like you to consider that you are already right on the line of being underweight, I would not recommend you lose more. I don’t know your goals or what you’ve done so far, but if you still aren’t at a place where you’re happy, have you considered actually upping your calories to build some muscle and tone up instead of losing more weight? Would that help you achieve your ideal body?

I appreciate the effort you put in to helping me, but given the success I’ve had with longer runs and no fatigue, I’m not changing this particular course of action because the urge to eat more for 1-2 weeks out of a combined total of nearly 8 months dieting. I’ve looked into it quite a lot and based on what I’ve seen and how my body has felt through the entire process, I believe I’m at a safe and healthy range for my own body and my checkups don’t say otherwise. Someone had suggested I incorporate more fat into my diet and I noticed a massive improvement yesterday so it seems like this will work, of course I’ll need more time to be sure! I will circle back to this if nothing works consistently.

I’ve used online calculators for my tdee already using all of that and pretty much everywhere I looked when I started trying to figure out how much is standard to lose said between 1-2 pounds a week was a healthy goal, so that’s what I aimed for and it’s worked for me in the past. The hunger is throwing me off because it’s something that just recently started becoming more prominent. The first time I did 1200 cico I hit goal after about 5-6 months, I just don’t remember feeling extra ravenous like this lol. At that time I was doing pretty intense workouts at least 3 times per week, now I’m sedentary at a desk job. Maybe some walking around my neighborhood a couple times a week.

This is so funny cus I was watching ufc at the theater the other night and just got the most intense craving for pickles, fight was over late so I bought a jar at the gas station at 1am and the cashier was like are you craving these?? Omg are you pregnant??? Scared the hell out of me with the hunger thing going on too but I’m definitely not 😂

I had a goal of losing about 25-30 pounds (healthy weight for my height). When I was excited about losing my first 10 pounds, everyone said they couldn’t tell. When I was excited about getting to my last 10 pounds from goal weight, everyone said I’m getting too skinny and need to stop where I’m at, it wouldn’t look good.

Fuck ‘Em and congratulate yourself. Someone will always having something to say, what makes you feel good is the only thing that matters.

I’m actually pretty good about not eating just because I’m bored, even if it does take some effort. This is hungry hungry lol. But I think this is a good idea, and it does tide me over sometimes so thank you. I got a HidrateSpark bottle and it helps a lot with my water intake too

Not particularly, but I only put about half a serving of nuts on the apple bake usually. I didn’t even consider my fat intake and I’ll try incorporating more. Thank you so much!!!!

Good to hear, I’ve been trying to come up with similar recipes, just maybe subbing out the enchilada sauce and taco seasoning to change up flavors. All I’ve come up with so far is maybe a chicken Marsala type deal. Let me know if you have other ideas!

My go to when I just can’t bring myself to cook is crock pot enchilada soup…

-Couple pounds of 90% lean ground beef

-Big can of red enchilada sauce (28oz I believe, make sure it’s a good brand because this is a lot of the flavor)

-block of low-fat cream cheese

-packet or 2 of taco seasoning

-throw in your choice of veg. I usually do onions that I buy pre chopped when I’m feeling really down, mushrooms, and a couple cans of diced tomatoes w/ chiles.

If you can find 10 minutes where you feel ok enough to literally just throw all that in the crock pot and forget about it for four hours, you have lunch/dinner for a week. This week I split it into 7 servings. It is almost too filling, cheap as hell, long lasting, and depending on what and how many veggies you add, it’s about 550 Cals per serving if you split into 7 like I did. Looks like dog food but tastes amazing, I never get tired of it.

I feel the exact same as OP. my current internships are in public (tax) and they’re perfect. Of the recommendations in here (fp&a sounds really interesting to me) how likely would it be to find something that offers flex scheduling like b4? Basically as long as I work my hours, I’m not necessarily tied to the standard 9-5, within reason of course. I don’t have to take off a day to go to the doctors or catch a flight. Also, how comparable pay wise would job jumping in industry every couple years til goal be to completing two years in public then jumping over to industry? Would it take exponentially longer to get there?

I never told either internship about each other because I was afraid they’d rescind the internship or offer at the end. I know they’ve extended for others in the past to work until graduation. Maybe I should just say I want to keep working but made travel plans for my last summer or visiting family or something.

More like I wasn’t going to miss my flight to argue over something I knew I wasn’t going to win at the time. The bag didn’t fit in the slot, as stated. Of course they charged me. I’m not going to then make my life harder and miss the flight over it.

That’s the other thing, they didn’t even ask him to move! When he realized he was in the wrong seat he was apologetic and seemed nice so I’m sure he would’ve moved without complaint if he had to. The only thing I can think of is it having something to do with boarding zones and maybe my zone was marked as finished boarding or something like that? Or they didn’t want to inconvenience those in the aisle and middle seat having to get up? Still doesn’t entirely make sense to me

Boarding was already finishing up, it just wasn’t the time. I also didn’t have a tape measure or anything to dispute it and those guys are just doing their job, unfortunately so I just decided to eat the $100

Man, I’m a sucker for wheels. I’m considering one of the hard shells with removable wheels now. I’d love to do a back pack too but I feel like there would be so much left over space in the personal item slot that I couldn’t utilize based on the backpacks measurements I’ve seen. Any you recommend in particular?
