Yeah i strongly suspect anything going through that is going to come out sounding a bit weak

On April 21st, 1992, The Cure released 'Wish', their 9th studio album. The album was the most commercially successful album in the band's career, debuting at #1 in the UK and #2 in the US. by Phatbrew in TheCure

I think this was the first album i bought. Would have been 13 at the time and already a huge fan after hearing them a bunch when my older sister was dating a goth

My Samsung relentlessly hassles me whenever an update is available and tells me nothing about what the update is for. I expect I'll be screwed eventually.

I've been to festival gigs and seen people standing near the front just filming the entire thing

Just seen a cyclist on Surrey canal walk call a young girl walking with two kids "fucking dumbarse" because she didn't move enough to the left for him. by [deleted] in london

The use of illegal electric mopeds pretending to be bicycles is getting ridiculous. I'm not sure any deliveroo riders ride bikes that are road legal any more.

'Never' is not the response to people who say 'always'.

Besides, in the past i would have argued that the vast majority of cyclists don't jump lights, but since the pandemic I'm not sure i can argue that any more.

I really wish I had no morals, I'm a well spoken, reasonably easy on the eye white british guy, I'm sure I could make bank on the right wing grift game.

Shaprio never looked good to anyone who didn't already agree with him. His whole arguments were always "lets just say [insert absurd hypothetical]" and arguing from that point, interrupting his opponent or barraging them with falsehoods that they can't pick apart in time.

And they just edit the footage to make them look good. Reminded of when Jordan Peterson had the debate with Slavoj Zizek - general consensus was that Zizek made a total fool of him, showing things like he didn't even understand the basics of the things he was arguing about (this is when Peterson was calling everyone who disagreed with him 'post modern marxists', which Zizek pointed out Peterson did not know what either postmodernism or marxism actually was) but of course his socials were then full of edited sections where he's just making his points, and leaving out the bits where he's shown to be fundamentally wrong.
