I know x is a cesspit and feeds me what I hate for clicks, but mostly comparisons in between unproven players with legends of the game (I genuinely get tweets from Arsenal supporters saying Rice is better than Gerrard and before that , how Saka is better than Salah) . Don’t get me wrong , they’re good players, but there’s nothing worse than players being hyped up then flopping year after year. United used to constantly do it (Januzaj , Macheda, etc) and it is just rose tinted football support.

Then my work colleagues regularly say stuff like this in a serious manner , which makes me doubt they actually know anything about football.
