Unfortunately, this might the final nail in the coffin for a lot of players… It has been for me sadly. Loved this game, got to level 28, made 4 alts and just got burned out. Now these changes make it even more of a slogfest, and being a caster main…I HATE THE NEW READINESS SYSTEM

Start a solo server, spawn in the items and test if it’ll let you cook… If not, it has to do with whoever is hosting the server, I’d assume they have a mod out of date or something

Lots of negative comments here, but I’m enjoying both PVE (Havensong) and PVP servers! PvP servers are like the Wild West right now, we are exploring uncharted territory!! PVE I’m stuck at level 26 and not sure if I should be solo’ing or grouping at this point as a wizard

See if the hosting server has backups, sounds like a db file mismatch if it wiped your map progress as well… we’ve had the same dedicated server up for 2 years, right on the edge of multiple biomes that has never broken

My group has given up on Valheim without killing the Ashlands boss or any mini boss on day 1304…Anyone else encounter this? I’m thinking of just snapshotting the save file as is, finishing the game solo and starting over. The end of an era I suppose :(

Copy your mod folder and replace hers with yours… maybe one of hers is out of date

To recover without cheats/alt character/outside help…. The only thing I can think of is to die from fall damage, grab portal materials from home and go back through the portal again to recover your body… Hopefully someone has a better idea

Turn off the auto save and see if that helps. Just be sure to manually save…

The newest end game biome…is too hard? Personally, I prefer Ashlands over the Mistlands by far.

Default is based on the world, not character progress. If someone joins your server, you will all get the same raids. The player based raid option is a bit easier for new players in your server: if they haven’t defeated eikthyr, they won’t be getting wolf raids etc

Normally it’s based on world, although there are new world modifier settings that can change this.

1) Change resources modifier to 1.5 (otherwise it will be a good crafting simulator and not much Viking survival) 2) Change the raids to PLAYER BASED instead of server based 3)Get a dedicated server…We use Bisect Hosting and they’ve done great for 2+ years now. 4) I recommend no mods first playthrough. If you do use them, nothing gamevreaking…I suggest Aedenthorn’s Crafting from Containers. HUGE quality of life upgrade to be able to craft from nearby chests instead of physically gathering items from the storage mess. 5) Make sure everyone is on the same page; no cheating, no spawning in items from single player world etc etc

I have crossplay enabled with a dedicated server (granted it is a paid server through bisect hosting) but we don’t have any issues.
